We Need 10 Nominees From The Community!

Ok, people. This is how it goes down.

The HOF Committee will choose 10 nominees and the Community that is not in the Committee is going to choose 10 nominees.

Then the HOF Committee is going to debate down to 10 nominees that are going to be on the primary ballot.

Some could be your picks, some could be ours. Then the ballot will be presented to the people in the Community while the people in the Committee vote on the nominees.

Then the HOFers will be announced to everyone.

Well, the time has come for the next HOF Nominee to be in the Hall Of Fame. Sadly, we had a low number of votes total. We had 22 votes. Not even everyone on the ballot voted this time around. However, let's get right to it.

Complete HOF Change, Brand New!

After a recent discussion with hiya, we are starting to agree on terms with a new way to do the voting on the Fannation Hall Of Famers.

We don't think the nominees are the biggest problem. The main problem is biased voting, so here is what we propose to fix it all.

1st: Create a seperate, private group with about 20 people that hiya and I know that are trustworthy. Hiya and I will find some people and maybe have others audition to fill in the rest of the 20 spots that are left.

2nd: We are dropping ALL requirements completely. Everyone needs a fair chance.

3rd: We would go by a rating scale. When the ballot is out, people vote on the each person on the ballot from a scale of 1 to 10. There will be about 10 People per ballot since we would have more people recommending more users. Now, let's say the group of 20 people come up with 30 people to nominate. We will have 3 ballots in the coming month and on each one you give a rating of each person on each ballot when they come out and then at the end we will tell all of who made it into the Hall Of Fame.

4th: Then if the person has an average of 8 or higher, then they will be announced in the Hall of Fame. The announcement blog would have more people on it then usual this way (possibly).

5th: More than one person is eligible to be in the Hall Of Fame at a time. This needs to be fair to everyone.

6th: Depending on how smooth the first trial of this goes, it is a 2 month Set Up for each. So this group will not be inactive, we will be under construction and getting ready for the up-coming ballot. The time difference depends on how smooth we can get through this.

New HOF Nomination Idea

Hello everyone and the voters of the Fannation Hall Of Fame. I thank you for your voting, cooperation and anything else that it takes to be at this stage and keep the Hall of fame running at a good pace.

However, recently we have encountered some problems with the nominations. I saw Super Squirrel's rant about this too, so don't think I ignored it because it ties in with this. People are using the requirements to their advantage, and I think this needs to be stopped, and let in the people that we truly think deserve to be there.
