Predictions R Us- The winner of the NBA East

        And the winner is......    Detroit

Why: with Hamilton, Prince, Billups and Rasheed the pistons have the best all-around team in the NBA. The piston's defense was also great giving up 90.1 ppg (in the regular season) and their offense was exactly awful either scoring 97.5 ppg. Also the pistons had 4 players averaging over 10 points a game.

5 reasons to watch out for the Red Sox in 08

1. Their pitching staff will be even better: Beckett will be Beckett,  Lester will make an impact, and Bucholz will get more starts. That's just scary.

2. The younguns will overachieve: rember last year's Pedroia, Youkilis, Lester, Papelbon,Ellsbury and Delcarmen, expect them to improve their above average numbers!

3. Leathal Lineup: Ortiz, Manny, Lowell, Youkilis, Pedroia, enough said.

4. Top notch pen: the Red Sox's 07 bullpen was one of the best pens in the MLB, in 08 it remains relatively unchanged.

5. Fab Fenway: Fenway Park gives the Sox the best home-field advantage in the Majors!.

Just watch out for those Red Sox!

The Fighting Irish's Failure ( or why ND stinks)

Notre Dame football has had its worst year in history for many reasons. Number One: too much youth. This ND football team is too young to succeed at this level and it really shows. Number Two: Weiss doesn't know his team. The patriots exoffensive coordinater calls plays like he has Brady or Quinn behind center, in reality Weiss has a young QB who's arm strength isn't at its full potiential. Number Three: pitiful special teams. Not to make excuses for the offense but all except for Zbikowski the returning crew misses blocks consistiently as a result gets called for holding in effort to protect the returner, which gives the offense horrible field position. On other hand ND's kicker has an awfully weak leg and the kicking team gives up way to many big plays. Number Four: mediocre defense. To top off all ND's troubles their d lacks fundamentals and can't keep their team in games. Number Five: weak offensive line. The Irish's inadeaquate line certainly doesn't help the QB problem and gets called for a lot of false starts giving the Domers a lot of third and longs. This is not the season to be an ND fan but the future looks bright.
