MLB Notes

It is getting that time of the week where i should write my notes on the MLB season so far. So here it goes.

The David Ortiz Factor

So far this season, he has been struggling madly. I have been listening to the radio lately and have heard callers say things such as "Ortiz may be done." and stuff like "Do you think Ortiz was on roids?" This just pisses me off. People who think these kind of idiotic things, good luck living in your basement. I really cannot stand. If you can remember, Ortiz had surgery on his knees on the offseason. If you don't play baseball, the knees are escential to being a good hitter. Ortiz is  just having a bad time right now. He just can't seem to be able to turn on the ball yet. he turn it on by midseason.

Could Bartolo Colon take the Sox's fifth starter spot?

With the strugles of Clay Buchholz this spring, could fatty man Colon take the fifth starters spot once his arm strength is all ready and his body is ready to take the heat of the rigirous MLB season. Here's and opinion of one boston sports writer.

 Colon poised to take fifth?

By Gordon Edes Globe Staff / March 29, 2008

Bartolo Colon, who took another step toward making a claim on the fifth spot in the Red Sox rotation with four solid innings in a 3-1 loss to the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium last night, is now scheduled to pitch Pawtucket's season opener Thursday night in Pawtucket, manager Terry Francona said after the game. Colon will travel with the team to Oakland before heading back for his start for Boston's Triple A affiliate.

A little bit of everything.

Hey everyone. Or the few people who actually do read what I write. I love writing and hopefully if my "5 step plan" to become a baseball player does not work out, I have a backup plan. Why not write about sports for SI or ESPN or somethin. It gives me great pride that somebody people(hey there couch potatoes) are reading this. I love sports a lot people. My friends always enjoy reading and commenting on what I say and rite about sports at school.

Embarrased

Today is the one day to be embarrased to be a pats fan. they let eli out of a sack to throw a prayer that was caught. asante dropped a pick that would have won the game the pats did not come to play yesterday. i was in utter disbelief. the loss of stephen neal, right tackle, weakened the line a whole lot. i was so pissed. it was very embarrasing. this was the first time my heart felt weightless. it was the most shocking thing i have ever seen...
