The Forgotten

Here in the state of Wisconsin there's a lot of excitement about the Milwaukee Brewers, Green Bay Packers and even University of Wisconsin football, and all of the excitement is deserving.  However, a lot of people are forgetting about the Milwaukee Bucks..not to worry I remembered them..and I want to talk a little bit about them.  They've had a busy offseason...and they're not getting a whole lot of mention around here.

The China Controversey?

I've read a lot of the blogs and looked at some of the throwdowns on this topic.  Gymnastics is a sport that usually doesn't get a lot of conversatoin here or anywhere in the United States.  So you know that it has to be a big deal...or is it?  The thing that has so many people upset is that they believe that the Chinese used gymnasts who are younger than the age of 16.  16 being the youngest that an Olympic gymanst can be.

First Impressions

Myself, and all of my fellow Packer fans had a reason to be excited about our preseason opener.  As I'm sure everyone knows by now the Aaron Rodgers era officially begins for the Green Bay Packers.  What's there to say about the way Aaron played?  He played well.  It's nothing to get too excited about, but it's nothing to get discouraged about either.

As a matter of fact one of my major criticisms of the game is that Tony Kornheiser is still an idiot, but that's beside the point.  I'm very happy that the Packers aren't on MNF very much this year, however the times that we are will suck, I hate listening to Kornheiser.

Sports And Politics

Here on FanNation I try to keep my non-sports related life and thoughts away from here.  When I talk on here I try to generally keep it about sports..or I'll make a random analogy and try to relate it to sports in my blogs.  But, this blog I feel like I need to get a little political.  As everyone knows the Olympics have started, normally during the Olympics people try to put politics and things of that nature aside.  But, it just can't be ignored during these Olympics.

Favre is Out

With Brett Favre finally being traded we Packer fans can finally move on.  This isn't necessarily the closure that many of my fellow fans were looking for, but closure nonetheless.  Looking over this trade it's interesting how the Packers protected themselves from Favre being traded to the Vikings.  While I don't see it happening it's still interesting how the Packers protected themselves..and essentially made sure the Jets wont do that.
