UC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Golden Eagles are on quite a roll, having won nine consecutive games.  UC is 11-6 overall and 8-2 in the WVIAC so far.

"They're very confident in one another and in the team,'' UC head coach Sherry Winn told the Charleston Gazette recently. "And they listen to me. They're coachable. I can make changes at halftime. I can go in there at halftime and tell them what I want done, and they'll do it.''

Emily Jones (11.5 points per game), Veronica Carman (11.2 ppg) and Jihan Williams (10.5 ppg) lead in scoring for UC while Tarenna Dixon, Katy Arick, Jennifer DeMeyer and Ali Tobias have also made significant contributions for the Golden Eagles.

UC will travel to face another hot team in Fairmont State on Thursday, Jan 24. The Fighting Falcons have won 11 straight games and are 13-1 overall, 7-0 in the WVIAC -- good for first place in the league. Fairmont is ranked No. 18 in the nation according to the latest D-II women's basketball poll.

The Golden Eagles will go to Salem International on Saturday Jan. 26 before returing home to tackle Seton Hill on Thursday Jan. 31. UC will hit the road again to face Wheeling Jesuit on Monday, Feb. 4.
