Celticsfan57638, and Whats Going on in Sports

Wait, is choosing 1 really the ONLY Choice?

The Boston Celtics are working fairly well so far into this very young offseason. Their draft with all things considered could be classafied as a success, and now into the free agent period they have reportedly made offers to James Posey and Corey Maggette. I have been reading comments and I just have one question, why do people think that we are getting Posey or either Maggete. I mean sure minutes are considered, but if that was truly the biggest concern to the players then they would be racing to accept the deal first, just so they had the advantage of pushing the opposing player out of intrest or just to get the seniority (which Posey has anyways). I mean we pay the luxury tax anyway, and sure it would grow, but thats why we traded one of our picks for cash considerations :D. I do however, see the argument of who would play what minuts etc. etc. but you know what, THATS A GOOD PROBLEM TO HAVE, sometimes at least, and I believe this is one of those times. Defensively Posey is as key to our D as KG at times, and offensively he has always been somewhat solid, but he is not a 20 point scorer. Now I know I've been debating for this 2 man signing, but I have never really said that I would agree with it. Call me hypacritical, if you wish. I really rather see only Posey get signed because we don't need another 20 point scorer, maybe if House doesn't come back and we have a bit of a bigger whole than we previously thought, but right now I dont see a great need for that kind of player. Now what about those offensive situations, should we have Maggette for those, and yes I know he plays forward? I dont think so honestly, Posey was (at least to me) surprizingly clutch offensively, I have no problem bringing him in for clutch, offensive situations. Then EVERYONE who watches basketball knows that Posey is an EXCELLENT defender, and don't give me "he's ok, or average" or anything short of excellent because frankly with this new defensive system we implemented this year, it takes good, great, and excellent defenders to adapt to it and excel like Posey did. I also have confidence in our management because honestly I believe that the Celtics analyze talent very well, sure there have been busts like Gerald Green, and Allen Ray but in the past few years we have also gotten some very solid players like Ryan Gomes, Al Jefferson, Delonte West, Kendrick Perkins (say what you want about him), Rajon Rondo (say what you want about him too, but when he is one of the top 6 or 7 PGs in a couple years dont act surprised or just read my other blog on him.) Chauncey Billups, Tim Duncan, Paul Pierce  (well it was a deal but yeah you get the idea). Eh...feel like I forgot stuff

Arguing Strike 1......Boycott Strike Two....Is THIS strike 3

Most people have heard the international tension between China and well, the rest of the world. The French, England, and the U.S. have been front runners when it comes to showing their disapproval of China as the hosts of the upcomming 2008 Summer Olympics. It started with human's rights regulations, then with Chian pretty much telling some past French citizens to get out within 3 years when they refused to renew Visas to some internationally born people. Next came the huge uproar from the international community, as if on cueue, questioning the social stability of the Chinese government. China doesn't want to budge so some countries say "lets boycott" and up until a few days ago their reasoning behind it was made up of one main thing, the fact China may be breaking Human Right's regulations (innocent until proven guilty in the world court aswell.)

You said.....He said.....Good for them

I just read the most idiotic blog that questioned the KG's over intense play, I read a blog that questioned the Celtics on floor behavoir, I read  a blog that battered the  Celtics winning by 39, I read a blog that said the reason the Lakers lost was because Kobe was having "off nights," in retrospect, I read a blog by a fan whom was crying.

KG is one of the most intense players in sports, maybe the most, and in sports it is not uncommon to find these players who literally feel like they're on fire at times. Yet somehow some peope (who I assume are not intense at all) find KG's arm pumping, chest whacking, yelling personality bizzare. If you're not an athlete who doesn't rely on intensity, not only is that the reason you are at home readin this blog on KG, and not yourself, but even if you can jump 9 feet most scouts will say you're unathletic. Adding onto all this an intense player makes the game interesting, I mean, if everyone went down the court in a basketball game with the same face, no body language, or anything, think how freaking boring it would be (and kind of annoying). I even heard KG was playing too hard on defense...........(hits harder)...........WHAT!?!?!? The American medical profession has no idea why an Aneurysm, an explosion of a blood vessel happens, and I just figured it out. Some one says or writes the stupidest thing you ever heard, and it goes IN YOUR HEAD, and then the stupidity of the statement blows up a blood vessel, AND CAN KILL YOU. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Defense, is usually thought to be the more physcial aspect of the game, he wasn't pulling a Chuck Norris by running into an area and starts throwing punches...he magnified his presence by physcailly moving people with his chest (which is legal), and following the designed plays of the coach. Our defense was one of the best in the last few years maybe decades, and KG anchored it.

Woah!

I expected the Celtics to be blown out in this one, but I'm impressed wth their overall defense of Kove Bryant and Paul Pierce's great effort. I feel though that they lost at that reach in foul by Kobe Bryant, I mean lol the fouls were somewhat even and let's just call it what it is Lakers beat the Celtics fair and dquare, bu tthat was a reach in. No ball contact

Believe it or not....

A point that just has to be put out there, the Boston Celtics have not won this thing yet, in fact they are far from it. I hate hearing all this crap about us having won the whole thing already, atleast thats what it sounds like everyone is saying. The Lakers being down 3-1, and the 29 other teams in history, no where near counts them out. They will probably win game 5, that could be predicted, they're a proud team that will not be knocked out at home. I hope my boys take it, but we are still far away, and we have accomplished nothing to this point.
