Inside Stowe's Mind

I'm Done

I've decided to cut way back on what I do on this "site".  I will no longer TD (unless directly challenged), I will no longer be joining any tourneys.  I still will run NMI and participate in Day Walkers, but other than that I'm done.

I just don't have the desire to waste my time any more, putting together arguments in a TD for a NMI tourney for example, only to have that TD get a grand total of 12 votes while pro wrestling TDs will get over 30 (I reserve the right to TD whenever I feel like it as well - whether to just have fun, slam a newbie or if I see a great topic available).

Meet the NMI Members - Volume XXIII

XXIII = 23 (for those that were not taught Roman numerals in school) so this is the 23rd in a long series of blogs.

Meet the NMI Members - Volume XXII

This is volume XXII, that's 22 for those who can only count using your fingers and toes, which means it's a good thing you have those 2 extra toes...

Click on these to see the previous 21 volumes:  rstowe, porkins, NCshvDavidGoodellT-fo, Duquesne, Jimmer, Hiya, BSchwartz, The Ram, Ghosthunter, Bigalke, 0x, Danbash, Hemo, NickB, Mac.  Super Squirrel, dyhard, G.O.A.T. and Zapp Brannigan

This volume will get inside Moondizzle's head.....I know, I'm scared as well but I think we'll survive.

What made you want to join NMI?

Well, I didn't. In the beginning, I squared off occasionally with NMI because I was the perceived idiot. And I can't say I blame people. I brought a different brand of humor it took getting used to. But I'm glad to be a part of it now. Makes the site more appealing. Now we can all surf rainbows together and sing happy songs.

Cheating in TDs

No, I'm not talking about using dupe accounts to vote for yourself, or fanmailing the TD link to your friends begging for votes or even copying and pasting your entire argument directly from (of all things) Wikipedia.  I am talking about a recent trend that has slowly been gaining ground in TDs.

What am I talking about you may ask?  Why the practice of willfully and intentionally exceeding the 1200 character limit in a TD argument (you can tell when this happens because either the argument is extremely long or the shading behind the argument is darker behind the characters that have exceeded the 1200 character limit).  Here is a TD that shows this (the 2nd argument from the right):  http://www.fannation.com/throwdowns/show/211337

Meet the NMI Members - Volume XIX

This is the 19th in a long series of blogs.  Hopefully you've enjoyed the previous 18 volumes -  rstowe, porkins, NCshvDavidGoodellT-fo, Duquesne, Jimmer, Hiya, BSchwartz, The Ram, Ghosthunter, Bigalke, 0x, Danbash, Hemo, NickB, Mac. and Super Squirrel.

In this volume, we'll learn more about the one and only, Dyhard

What made you want to join NMI?

I wanted to be in a group that wasn't full of
idiots, and some group that gave me a good challenge in TDs arguments, and group that was fun to be part of, and this one has been all of that. Plus, it feels good to be in a group full of people that have some common sense in them.
