I like the new look of the NYY after Cabrera was sent to minors.... I had stated about 1 month ago that Cabrera had to be sent to the minors in order to "practice" his hitting there... too much was at stake for him to be having batting practice in the majors......  words echoed by Girardi just last week....  I loved it when a chance to be an every day player was given to Gardner and I believe Christian should be given the same chance in right field.... although Abreu is doing a decent job.  He could play in RF on alternate days with Abreu, just to break him in..... these two are the future outfield stars of the NYY, along with Nady and Cabrera when he finally finds himself in AAA.   Cabrera proved in 2007 that he can be a force to be reckoned with and somehow this year he messed that up.... I'm sure he will live up to expectations.   As for the rest of the field... Cano, is a much much better player than he has played this year... a future star indeed, along with Ranson at 1st..... ARod has to learn to hit when game is on the line.  As for the rest, they are doing just fine... pitching will be straightened out before this year is up.... Joba, Phil and Carl will be fine... New and expected introductions like Melancon and Brackman should be up this year and will all help along with Wang in the post-season if we finally make it..... Indeed we have the tools to make it to the post-season, all the players have to do is play to their potential and it's a no-brainer.....   Go Yankees....
