La Russa insults Pujols

PUJOLS GROSSLY INSULTED BY LA RUSSA

That last All Star game still baffles me!  I cannot believe how La Russa systematically (and in a premeditated fashion), insulted and embarrassed the greatest player in the game today, his own Albert Pujols.  Tony, it was an unforgiveable sin.  And because of your faux paux, you have fallen from grace in St. Louis.

Why, Tony?  Why would Pujols' own manager try to embarrass him before multi-millions of fans?  Pujols took it like the champ and gentleman that he is, but YOU, Tony, exited the All Star game as a villain.

Juan Encarnacion is History!

Cardinals outfielder rips La Russa
First in, then out of Sunday's lineup, Juan Encarnacion called Tony La Russa's recent treatment of him "kind of unprofessional" hours after the two met for a second time in as many days. The meeting's outcome involved an altered lineup card and an MRI of Encarnacion's left knee scheduled for today. The Cardinals have tried to drum up trade interest in Encarnacion, who has a year remaining on a three-year, $15 million deal he signed as a free agent in December 2005. Encarnacion also confirmed Sunday that he has been speaking with his agent, Eric Goldschmidt, about the potential for a trade.
