Still haven't said anything definite. Don't expect to see him Saturday (OSUs not Pitt and OU isn't BGSU).

The brace they described sounds like a shoe I wore when I broke a bone in the arch of my foot - just a flat piece of padded wood to put the weight on the heel and ball of my foot.

Not something you would wear with turf toe. Exactly what you woudl wear if you got your foot twisted and sprained.

Expect him back in USC game - just not sure if he will be a permanent fixture or just brought in on 20 or so plays.

He does have 3 backups, 2 with experience before 2008, all wre 4 star recruits, rnaked from 11th to 24th in their class. All have done fine before Wells got start last year or filling in when Wells was injured in past.

They must just be saying he has turf toe to cover up for that fumble.

OSU Game Report-- as you've all seen by now, Prove It was right-- the reason Beanie fumbled was because of his foot thing, which was pre-contact-- happened quickly. Hoping for the best...

Wunderkind lived up to the hype... on his TD run, he moved the ball from his right to his left hand, away from the impending tackle-- you can't teach that. You can TRY, but few LEARN it. Kid has good vision and solid instincts... Of course, it was Youngstown State, so we'll see.

And I'm glad the "Old Man" (Pretorius-- he's 29) is in the Nugent mold-- and how about Aaron Pettrey connecting on a 54 yarder... :D

Was a little concerned by the hit Dane Sanzenbacher took (in the 3rd, I think)-- mark my words: he will be the next go-to guy, like Gonzo and Hartline. REALLY consistent.

Overall, they looked solid. Other than Boeckman missing a WIDE OPEN receiver in the end zone (didn't even see him), not a whole lot raised alarms... of course, the secondary remains largely untested because they didn't have anything to do-- it was all taken care of up front. But I'm reasonably content... for now.

Dudes... Sorry about sending a shared page to a really old blog - I addressed it wrong. In my own defense, I attended a public school...

Experts - blah - none of then had taken a look at MSUs record until the bowl game. Convinced they are improving. Not convinced 07 wasn't a fluke.

I also think Michigan State will benifit. There are some experts that are putting Michigan State right up there with Wisconsin and Ohio State.

I think the Spartans will benefit. They play essentially the same style that Michigan used to play..and the guys who would have automatically chosen to be a Wolverine may start to think about being a Spartan a little bit harder.

I am also interested to see if they benefit in recruiting at some skill positions from the change in style at tSUN

I suspect my opinion is standard. I looked upon them as a middle conference team until BC (B10 #8 against the ACC #2 should have been a blow out) When I saw they were 2OT loss from finishing 5th, all losses were by a TD or less, I am interestesd to see if it was a fluke or a team to be reckoned with.

PSU - I had them edging out Wisc for 2nd in the Big 10 with a lot of injuries still afflicting Wisc in spring practice. Recent suspensions have me questioning this. I still have them in the top 3

They WILL finish dead last this year. They may improve over the years, but they are not too good.

6 losses by 1 TD or less. I would discount getting a top recruiting class except that many of the recruits are from JC and can be expected to contribute immediately.
I picked them last, but wqouldn't be surprised to see them climb up a step (or 2) with a couple of conference wins.

Minnesota..they're going to finish did last in conference this year. My sister graduated from the University of Minnesota this past May and when we were up there my sister showed me and my parents the are where the new stadium was and it does look impressive. It's going to be a huge help recruiting for them. But, the bottom line for the Gophers is until their defense improves even a little bit..they wont be competing for a conference title..and I see that being a year or two away. They will be a much better team though.

5 wins is a defnite possibility. They've got the least amount of room to fail in recruiting. They're by far in the toughest situation in the Big 10...they, most of the time can't go after the same level of player that every other Big 10 school is able to go after

I think having new coordinators could negatively Northwestern. They're new d-coordinator, Mike Hankwitz, who was the d- coordinator at Wisc a year ago did a horrible job at time with far better talent..I don't see him being able to help Northwesterns d all that much this year..I'd look for slight improvement but nothing major.

New coord on O and D. In conference will drop to OSU, IA, MSU, Illini, and with the game late in the season Mich (who will be relying on D as much as O). Will win the other 3. Will be 2-2 non-conference.
