Nearly 20 years ago Raider HC Mike Shanahan fired a good part of his coaching staff; one of which was offensive line coach Art Shell.  Al Davis then stepped in and said "No, Shell stays."  Shanahan was then fired 4 games into the season with cause and was never paid out the remainder of his contract.  Art Shell then took over as HC and had a winning record as a coach and was questionably fired after a 9-7 1994 season...because he lost the wild card race to arch rival Kansas City??  That's the only reason I can think of.  Shanahan later went on to become…

As many of you know, we were humiliated on our Monday night opener against Denver at home but I think we did a great job rebounding on the road in week2 against KC.  Unfortunately I lost some fantasy points when Justin Fargas went out with a pulled groin and only 43 yards rushing.  It was an even bigger hit that you might think because I had Michael Bush on the bench who came in and rushed for 91 yards and a TD.  However, the biggest offensive highlight was our rookie of the year canidate Darren McFadden leading all week 2 rushers with 164 yards and a TD.  Our defense…

As you all know the Chargers lost to the Panthers, and the Chiefs lost to the Patriots. So this leaves Monday Night's crucial matchup with Denver will determine who enters Week 2 atop the AFC West. The play calling in the first half was horrible. How can you win running the ball every down?

And the defense - ugh. I hope this loss for our home opener brings about some serious change.
