Well, most of us know the Gilbert Arenas has decided to opt out of his final year with the Washington Wizards and see how good the market waters are. Interestingly enough, he has two possible suitors already and one them just happens to be the team that just got a new coach, needs to unload a few players and pray for a comeback.
That would be the Knicks. Yes, the team that Allen Houston left and is now considering coming back to (maybe). With Sheriff D'Antoni in town there is going to be a big clean-up of this team.... Talks about unloading the infamous Stephon Marbury from the team have become more intense and are nearing reality. With Marbury gone though that leaves the Knicks to fill up a void in the line-up. And Arenas' opt out couldn't have come at a better time for the Knicks. Arenas and Marbury have something in commen though, they were both hurt basically the whole season and inheriting Arenas who's health is concerning might be a bit of a risk but, if Arenas is that type of D'Antoni "coachable player" and he still can do what he did before his injury then this could be the first big steps the Knicks take in getting themselves back on track again.
