  The race for the cup championship is at the Lowe's Motor Speedway for the Bank of America 500. Jimmie Johnson is on the pole for this night race, after qualifing was rained out for the eighth time this season. There is excitement in the night air in anticipation for the start of the race, it had gotten even more exciting earlier in the week as Kevin Harvick and Carl Edwards got into a heated exchange in the garage area, and had to be separated. This was a hold-over from the Talladega race last week as Edwards had caused a multi-car crash taking out some of the chase contenders, but…

 Race #4 for the championship finds us in Talladega for the Amp Energy 500 with Travis Kvapil on the pole. It takes almost a full lap to get these restrictor plate cars up to full speed as Kvapil , in his Yates Racing Ford leads the first 9 laps. Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr., two of the chase drivers, are at the rear of the field to start, as they have engine issues, that require them to start there, but it has opposite effect for the drivers. Johnson soon loses the draft and goes a lap down after 25 laps, but Earnhardt Jr. goes from last to first in just 26 laps. Alot of side by…
