Jr. Triumphs at Michigan

Jr. started out in 3rd at Michigan. He soon fell back but stayed in the top ten pretty much the whole race. With about 30 laps to go Jr. started conserving fuel to keep from having to pit, wanting to stay in the front of the pack. A caution, which came out with about 3 laps to go, threatend Jr.'s chances of winning. Jr. started conserving even harder coasting just beyond the caution car. He did a great job pulling out this awesome win at Michigan finally getting the monkey off his back. Hopefully, there will be several more wins like this to come. GO JR. GO

Jr. takes 4th at Pocono

Dale Jr. started out at 7th in Pocono. He stayed up in the top ten most of the race until about lap 113 when he was having trouble getting down on his left front tire. He soon fell far back into the pack. The National Guard team made a few wedge adjustments on Jr.'s car and he started advancing back up through the pack at a pretty good pace. Jr. wound up at 2nd with about 19 laps to go. He then fell back to 4th being passed by Kasey Kane and Denny Hamlin. He was then challenged by Jeff Burton in the 31 car. He passed Jr. once, but Jr. immediatly shot right back by him and didn't give up anymore ground finishing 4th at Pocono.

Dale Jr. qualifies 7th for Pocono. He is looking for his first win this season and it looks like Pocono could be it. So if your a Dale Jr. fan make sure you tune in Sunday on TNT to see if Jr. can pull out is first win in the 88 car.
