The biggest upset yet to hit the 2008 U.S. Open came right at the top of the women's draw. Yesterday at Flushing Meadows, number-one seed and world number-one Ana Ivanovic tumbled out of the tournament, losing in three sets (6-3, 4-6, 6-3) to French qualifier Julie Coin. The Frenchwoman, ranked 188 in the WTA standings, did a great job in winning her match... but with thirty-four unforced errors, Ivanovic handed away this match as much as Coin claimed it as her own. A day after the women finished the first round at Flushing Meadows, the men completed the remainder of their first-round matchups with Andy Roddick's straight-sets victory (6-2, 6-2, 6-2) over Fabrice Santoro of France. With fifteen aces in the match, Roddick looks fresh and determined to add to his 2003 U.S. Open crown. SUGGESTION:

I have another one for you, Bigalke. At the end of each blog recap, you should put a little preview for the next day's stage. Maybe put some info and notes such as "Longest stage of the tour" or stuff like that. It would be helpful for next day's viewing.
