MLS ALL STARS DOWN WEST HAM UNITED

Last night at BMO Field in Toronto the MLS All Stars beat visiting West Ham United 3-2 to notch their 4th consecutive All Star victory. In a well played match by both teams, the Hammers opened the scoring in the 26th minute as striker Dean Ashton took a pass from Carlton Cole and placed a right footed kick passed Goalkeeper Matt Reis into the net. The West Ham lead lasted less than a minute when David Beckham played the ball to Cuauhtemoc Blanco who back-heeled it to Christian Gomez who easily scored the tieing goal. Blanco, who only played the first half, gave the MLS the lead in the 44th minute zipping a right-footed shot inside the far post.
