He has the chance to be great. He has killer WRs coming back for another season under Urban Meyer. Only problem is the the SEC is the best conference in NCAA.

Tebow is going to shine in the Urban Meyer spread shotgun option offense

I think that the Gator running attack must establish itself and become a dominate part of the offense. We really need a big time go to individual. Hopefully either Mon or Bo will be that individual.

i think brandon james will have a big year (in returning and as a change of pace guy). but the guy that will carry this team (he needs to) is kehstan moore. if we want to run teh spread option to perfection, he needs to focus on football and dedicate himself.

My Fellow Gators; I am concerned about our defense next year; hoping they can improve significantly; if so, we should be a serious contender for the BCS Championship game. One small problem, our biggest challenge next year will be Georgia, as they should be very good as well.

This is what the Los Angeles newspapers are reporting on December 3, 2007.

"The Rose Bowl was not allowed to select Georgia because of a rule that protected SEC teams from being selected once LSU went to the BCS title game. Florida was also not an option under that rule, which was passed when Iowa was selected in the 2003 Orange Bowl to play USC, which forced the Rose Bowl to select Oklahoma."

What does loumouthed LSU coach Les Miles think about this? It's obvious that even elite SEC teams do not have the intestinal fortitude to step out on the gridiron with USC on New Year's Day. I would have thought that after all of the disparaging remarks about the Pac 10 made by SEC coaches at the start of the 2007 NCAA football season that they would welcome the opportunity to slug it out with the six-time champions of the Pac 10. Now all of America can see the cowardice of the SEC as plain as day. Too bad Oregon quarterback Dennis Dixon tore his ACL; otherwise, the Ducks would have probably administered a beating to LSU. The Fighting Illini have a fine football team, but USC is going to annihilate them on Jan. 1, 2008.

Hey OGDOCAVTO: Your statement smacks of envious babble and misinformation. While you DID quote a newspaper to bolster your sentiment that the SEC is cowardly, the facts are skewed.

The BCS selection rules state that, "No more than two teams from a conference may be selected, regardless of whether they are automatic qualifiers or at-large selections."

So there's no "special rule" protecting the SEC--the rule is applied ubiquitously to ALL conferences. And since the SEC had LSU and Georgia already in BCS games, by rule there was NO WAY ANY other SEC team could have been selected.

So get over yourself! The fact that the SEC HAD more qualified programs that you say "should have gone" to another BCS game only affirms the overall STRENGTH of the conference.

Just because it's in an oft-flawed newspaper doesn't make it true.

Doooo Doooo : why would LSU want to step out on the field with USC in the Rose Bowl when they can do it for the BCS National Championship and win the (This time Undisputed National Championship). LSU did try to get into the Rose Bowl in 2007, but USC and the Rose Bowl were afraid to play that game.

But, believe me LSU is salivating to get USC on the field anytime anywhere. With LSU's Defense, and speed USC would be aching for months after the game. Booty was afraid to come to LSU and try to compete. Who would he beat out, Jamarcus Russell or Matt Flynn ?

Louisiana sent USC the big name guy, but LSU won the BCS without him and USC won What ? The Rose Bowl?
