My skepticism is on hold after Kidd's standout performance last night v. Hornets. I usually cringe whenever he sets up for a three, but if NO is gonna give him that shot, he should take it. I think Avery is following Pop and Rudy T's philosophy of game management: stay close, then in the last half of the third POUR IT ON!! They've done that the last few games (that they won). We CAN beat NO (5-6 games), and we will be around and formidable in Round 2. Does anyone know how that will play out? Which Round 1 winner are we most likely to face in Rd. 2? I don't think it matters; we will have the confidence, talent and health to challenge anyone along the way.
As Rudy T famously said, "Never underestimate the heart of a champion."
There is no reason that doesn't apply to this Mavericks squad. Comments, MFFLs?
