Breaking News: Thursday, July 31

The Steelers signed former Pro Bowl kick returner Eddie Drummond on Thursday to help bolster what has been a weak special teams unit.

Drummond, who grew up in Pittsburgh and attended Penn State, was a Pro Bowl selection as a Detroit Lions after the 2004 season, when he returned two punts and two kickoffs for touchdowns. Drummond played for the Chiefs last season after spending the first five seasons of his career with Detroit. He returned a punt for a touchdown during each of his first two seasons in the NFL, but has not scored in the last three seasons.

Sweed couldn't finish the Pittsburgh Steelers' second practice Wednesday because of cramping.

Sweed, a wide receiver from Texas who will play a key role in the offense, was taken off the field on a cart late in the afternoon practice - creating concerns he injured a hamstring or a groin. He caught a touchdown pass during a drill earlier in the practice.

Breaking News: Thursday, July 31

Clemons returned to practice Thursday, two days after he was hospitalized for dehydration.

Clemons was helped off the field at Lehigh University about two hours into the team's Tuesday morning practice. He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital in an ambulance, but never lost consciousness. He returned to the training facility later Tuesday. The fifth-year veteran admitted he shouldn't have tried to push himself after initially feeling fatigued. Clemons signed a five-year contract with the Eagles in the offseason and will be used as a situational pass rusher.

Breaking News: Wednesday, August 20

The Philadelphia Phillies activated Feliz from the 15-day disabled list on Wednesday.

Feliz, who was battling a bulging disk in his lower back, was placed on the disabled list on July 29. He was sent on a rehabilitation assignment on Sunday, and hit two home runs that day for Double-A Reading.

Breaking News: Sunday, August 17

The Phillies activated Seanez from the disabled list on Saturday, and sent third baseman Mike Cervenak to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, according to the team's official Web site.

Seanez had been out with an inflamed right shoulder, but returned before Saturday's game after two rehab outings with Lehigh Valley and Class A Lakewood, respectively. Seanez, who is 4-3 with a 3.58 ERA in 31 relief appearances for the Phillies, is expected to help lighten the workload of Chad Durbin, who has appeared in a career-high 51 games.
