Millwood allowed seven runs, six earned, and nine hits in six innings of an 8-1 loss to Boston Friday.
Millwood had won three straight decisions, his longest winning streak since 2002, giving up only four runs over 24 2-3 innings with two complete games in that stretch.
Millwood is expected to start Friday, when the Rangers host Boston.
Millwood has compiled a 1.46 ERA while winning his last three straight starts. It's his longest such streak since reeling off a career-high seven consecutive outings from Aug. 11-Sept. 11, 2002 while with Atlanta. The right-hander is 4-3 with a 4.05 ERA in 11 career games versus the Red Sox. He fanned seven, but also allowed two runs and 10 hits in six innings of a 6-5 home loss on April 20. He didn't factor into the decision of that game.
