The Yankees recalled Traber from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.
Traber had a 5.59 ERA in 9 2-3 innings over 14 games in two stints with the Yankees this season, in April and June. The 28-year-old was 2-1 with a 4.83 in 26 games at Scranton. "We felt we just needed another arm," Yankees manager Joe Girardi said.
