Boozer had playoff highs of 27 points and 20 rebounds and went 12-for-21 from the field as the Jazz beat the Lakers 104-99 on Friday night in Game 3 of their second-round playoff series.
It was the first 20-20 playoff game ever for Boozer, who struggled through this postseason before Friday's breakout. The power forward entered Game 3 averaging 15.1 points and 11.1 rebounds while shooting just 41.7 percent.
Boozer was held to 10 points, five rebounds and 3-for-10 shooting while plagued by foul trouble in the Jazz's 120-110 loss to the Lakers in Game 2 of their second-round playoff series on Wednesday night.
The big Lakers lineup has caused problems for the Jazz and Boozer, who has struggled with foul trouble in each of the first two games of the series. The All-Star forward is averaging 12.5 points and 37.5 percent shooting against the Lakers, and 15.1 points and 41.7 percent shooting overall in the playoffs. He averaged 21.1 points and shot 54.7 percent in the regular season.
