Sean Taylor was a great player and also a great guy. He was the heart and soul of the Redskins. He was changing his life around and he was starting to change. Also he was just starting his career and had a whole life in front of him.He also is an inspiration to all athletes and all people. Also he is the Redskins guardian Angel.

I hate to say it, but guys, it is time to GET OVER Sean Taylor. I don't mean to sound insensitive or anything. I really don't. And I do feel bad for his teammates and family. And he WAS a great player.

But his death has made people think he was much more than he really was. YES, he was a good player. YES, he was a Pro Bowl guy. But come on. Don't you realize that this is a bit much? He was great, but again, everyone needs to move on.

I mean, people, come on. I liked the guy. as a Cowboys fan, he was one of the very few Redskins I respected. But this is all a bit much. We're putting him on a pedestal here and this is taking it all too far. Sure, it would be a cool honor. But what are you gonna do? Put a guy on the cover, but leave him out of the game? Or do you suggest giving him 100 in all stats and making him the greatest Madden character ever?

Again, I am NOT trying to be rude or insensitive here. But when someone dies you MUST move on with your life. Putting him on the freakin' Madden cover just prolongs the memory of his death.

No offense but only a cowboy fan would go against putting a great guy like Taylor and honoring him.

He was a very good player and only getting better. And you say that he we are putting him on a pedestal. But he was more than just a great FS. He was a great guy and a symbol of how even though you can come out of a bad environment and shows how you can overcome so much and make your dreams with perseverance.

He also is was taken from us and honoring him would show how football has a heart and is more than just a game.

He deserves this and he gave and still gives us inspiration and shows what can happen when you try and when you went to better for yourself. He was turning his life around with his daughter and trying to leave his past with violence and poverty and difficulties.

Oh yeah. Way to blame it on my team allegiances. Look at my TDs. Recently, I defended Taylor against a guy who was making somewhat insensitive comments about him, so don't give me that Cowboys bullsh*t.

Now, you're treating the guy like he was Jesus or something. Again, I don't mean to sound rude, but he was NOT a "great person" as you claim. I am not calling him a thug here, but let's look at him. He had run ins with the law. He appeared to be turning his life around, yet he still wasn't a model citizen. His version of turning his life around was not getting in trouble, not going above and beyond in the community, as players like Warrick Dunn do.

Now again, I am gad he sevres as inspiration to you, but LOTS of players have the same story, or one even more inspiring. That is, unless being killed in a home invasion is the part that inspires you.

And now I'll say it again; while it WOULD be a nice gesture, it has become the time to move on. The Redskins will be going through their pre-season without him for the first time, and people will finally have distanced themselves from this tragedy. Then you release a video game with him on it? Nope. Time to move on.

Yea he had a bad childhhood. And as every teammate and coach said he looked like he was changing around.

Yea he had some run ins. Thats just how they do in DC. Also its BulS*it that some Dallas FS gets the pro bowl instead of him. Even with his short season he did better. Also he should have some respect and decline it. If he is sooo good he could just go next year.

It would be a nice tribute to have Sean Taylor on the cover for all his family, little daigher, wife, mother et. and friends and for all the Redskins and their fans.

"Yea he had some run ins. Thats just how they do in DC."

Lamest BS I have ever heard. What, just 'cause all the poor thugs on the street break the law it makes it acceptable for people to do it? That is just how they do? Life isn't a rap song dude... and you can't blow breaking the law off as saying it is how everyone rolls...

Also... what Dallas FS got into the Pro Bowl INSTEAD of Sean Taylor? Another MORON homer fan with a bad over his head posted this in the comments, I'll just say the same thing again:

LMAO! What the hell are you talking about??? He WAS elected to the Pro Bowl! Roy Williams was elected several weeks AFTERWARDS as a replacement! Jeez... how dumb can you be? Did you expect them to wheel out his coffin and make it play zone coverage? He has passed on! He WAS a Pro Bowl selection, but you need, you know, a LIVING PERSON to actually PLAY the game.

Got it? Taylor is dead. He was elected to the Pro Bowl team, but there is a REASON another player was added... Jesus... some people don't think before speaking.

My best bet is adrian peterson

that would be bad **** they need to put more d- players on anyway, and obviously the madden curse wouldn't effect him

January 5, 2008  11:02 PM ET

EH is right here. Every time I play Madden, I don't want to look at the screen and box and be depressed.

Besides, the death of Korey Stringer was actually football related a few years back, and he didn't get on the cover. You have to have a precedent here, no point in starting one this late.

Go away, fake zippy.

Curly Lambeau for the cover of Madden I say if we're using NFL players who are deceased.

I hated the old zippy, but at least he was funny. You're lame.

Also not to be insensitive but to call Taylor a "great guy" might be a stretch. He was turning his life around and not to stomp on his grave but he had made a lot of questionable decisions in his life. Sorry for his teammates and family lost but lets not making him out to be something he really wasn't.

EH sez... you hit it right on the head... can't wait to see what you write next about this, just for the writing... because you already convinced me it is a bad idea, and no refutation in the rebuttal sealed my vote...

I agree with Danbash...

I think it'd be a little weird seeing a dead guy's photo on the cover of Madden. I don't need to feel emotions except excitement when I get a Madden game!

#21 deserves it

I feel bad and sympathetic for his friends and family but he really wasn't a good guy. He was making strides not to be a bad guy anymore but calling him a great guy probably comes from you watching too much media coverage about him. We tend to be too sensitive to judge someone poorly about their life after they pass.
