USC is always a threat to be national champions, and although they choked last year, I don't think they will again. John David Booty is just now reaching his prime, and with the quarterbacks that USC has churned out over the years, I expect him to be very good. Their defense is still rock solid, with DE Lawrence Jackson leading the pack. Patrick Turner and Vidal Hazelton have secured the new starting wide recieving spots, and their OL is good. They may have rivals for the championship, such as LSU, Florida, West Virginia, and Louisville, but they will surely win 10 games.

wow goin out a limb here of course they will dumbass. they will beat everyone on their schedule and maybe have some slight issues with ND and nebraska but even if they lose those games they will still get an at large and be in major bowl. This was a dumb throwdown panthers fan

I was trying to make this a serious throwdown. A lot of people think that USC will have a hard time winning this year, since the Pac 10 is arguably the best conference. I think that the division losses last year were flukes, though, and USC has the goods to become title contenders, unlike their fall from glory last year in their loss to UCLA. I think Notre Dame will beat them, but they have a good chance to win all their other games, and will make it to a BCS.

Look ok but i mean come on with the schedule they play and the players they have they should have no problem winning 10 games

True, but I am also talking about making a major bowl. A lot of people would not rank them too high if they only won 10 games, based on their schedule, and I am debating whether or not they will beat ND and Nebraska. They beat both last year, but ND was close, and they will lose this year. They will beat Nebraska, though, and that could put them in position for another Rose Bowl berth, or even a National Championship. With their goods, they have a chance to be national champions again, after it was stolen from them two years ago.

Booty just now reaching his prime....you mean after his performance against UCLA it just started to click. The Booty hype will disappoint the Trojan faithful just as it did for LSU with his big bro...seriously has to be the most screwed up deal of all time...Josh Booty was the number one high school qb in 1993..some other kid named Payton Manning was #2..booty commits to LSU and Payton..orignally an LSU lean...picks UT. If that wasnt enough...he opts out to give baseball a go...flops...comes back to LSU (with the hype) and brings his other brother (also with hype) and they both suck..complain in the locker room and LSU goes 6-3. All the numbers that make these "snake handlers" so coveted out of high school is because they play in 1A, their dad is the coach and they throw on every down???you???ll see???John David Booty will disappoint.

USC will only make a BCS bowl game because of their schedule. And the Pac-10 is arguably the best conference? Give me a break. I wish I would have gotten in this throwdown. The PAC-10 blows compared to the SEC and Big 12. Patsy filled schedules lead to alot of wins. ND is the hardest team they will play all season. Come on. You deserve to lose this throwdown simply of your ignorance when it comes to college football as a whole.

The Pac-10 hasn't been great lately but let's be honest about the Big 12, they're not exactly a deep conference.
