Now with Eli and Peyton Super Bowl Champions, the Manning family is officially the greatest NFL Family ever.
Sorry Rooney's and other owners, you dont really count in this TD.
Which brings to question, which is the most successful Manning?
Archie is the patriarch and original. Eli and Peyton now each have their own ring.
But I am going with the sentimental choice.
Olivia Manning has had an exceptional life.
First, I am sure she was hot when she in college. This is quite possibly the most fantastic thing on the face of the earth.
Then she bags an All American Football QB. Follows that up with Homecoming Queen before graduating from Ole Miss. No pictures to prove it, but she was probably hot.
Then, while putting up with the life of an NFL QB, she did the best job raising athletes since Geraldine Barber. Those kids are not mommas boys for no reason.
Her first child, Cooper, has yet to win a Super Bowl Championship. 2 for 3 aint so bad you say? Well Cooper may be more successful than both his bros. He trades oil stocks and is an entrep. that may make more money than either Eli or Peyton.
Olivia has been more successful at her job than an Manning.

Half of what you are arguing was before she was even a Manning. So those accomplishments don't count.
Peyton is still #1. He's #1 on the field, as a TV commercial spokesman, and as a TV star in his guest appearance on Saturday Night Live.
All Olivia ever did was have sex. Nothing very successful about that.

She IS a Manning and therefore her total accomplishments should be considered.
She had sex on an NFL caliber level. Not something that should be dismissed.
She also raised two World Champion QBs, managed not to get divorced by another all world QB, and raised a third son who may be more successful, at least financially, then the rest of them combined.
I am a huge Peyton fan, but there have been #1 QBs in the past with big TV endorsements and there will be #1 QBs in the future with big TV endorsments.
But their may never be brothers to win a Super Bowl in their own terms. Olivia raised those kids and deserves a remarkable amount of credit.

I understand she IS currently one, but half of the accomplishments you listed in your first argument happened BEFORE she was a Manning. So we have to eliminate those from the equation.
And please find me one thing she did to create two NFL Super Bowl winning quarterbacks. Heck, Archie had money, so she didn't even cook them breakfast. Her only job on the planet was to look pretty and bear children. And honestly, she had nothing to do with either of those abilities.
I've tried to find her academic background, to see if she MIGHT have had something to do with the third son's financial success. But there isn't anything. So I have to believe that she did the only thing she was qualified to do, and that was to bear some children for a famous athlete.
As for the third son, all I find is that he was an NFL prospect at wide receiver, but he suffered a career ending injury. So even he was trying to make the NFL a career.

I do not know what your vision of wealth is, but apparently you assume they are all cheuffered to their polo matches promptly after brunch with the Queen.
All child rearing is left to the maid as that is clearly beneath their status.
How disrespectful of you to assume that she had nothing to do with the raising of her children. Her efforts were nothing short of stellar. She dealt with a father at work 7 days of the week 14 hours a day during a grueling 13 year career.
She clearly is no hussie trotting through bars looking for a baby daddy as you assert.
Successful mothers and wives nurture their families by giving them love and challenging them to become the best they can. I know that is a stereotype and that is not the role for all women, but for Gods sake, stay at home moms have a job that rivals anything that issues a paycheck.
One child having an all world career is luck, two children reaching the pinacle of success is coincidence, three children putting together a life that Norman Rockwell could not paint is an effort worth the respect of you, myself, voters on this site, and all those who come across this TD.
Gruden crushes poker tables said 02/05, 03:43 PM
With all due respect to the oh so overtaxed Olivia, she was there, and she raised them. But she had absolutely squat to do with their development as football players. Other than to stand on the sideline and scream "that's my boy".
And an NFL player doesn't work 7 days a week, 14 hours a day. To start with, back then they had very little offseason workouts. So there goes January through Jun out the window. Players normally get Monday and Tuesday off after a game, so there goes 2/7ths of July through December. So wow, 133 days a year of work. One of those playing the actual game each weekend. In contrast, you and I work approximately 260 days a year.
And as you said, its a sterotype, and not the role for ALL women. So how can you speak for Olivia Manning? How can you possibly know what kind of a mother she was?
As for your LIE: I never said anything about being a hussie trotting through bars. That's just you begging for votes.
Dude, I thought this was going to be a fun lighthearted TD. Thanks for screwing it up.

So if I want my kids to be NFL stars I just need to do it on an NFL-caliber level?
Hmm. That gives me a lot to think about.

You need to gameplan...you need to watch film...you need to study your "opponent's" tendencies on the "field".

Don't forget to call the right plays and don't try to be overly spectacular. Stick to the gameplan and what works, trying the amazing can end in disaster.

That is a classic. I think I'll remember that when I get old, turn gray and have arm flab while I sit on the rocking chair on the front porch, thinking about how much I want to have sex just to produce NFL caliber kids.
