We differ a lot in placement. And i substituted rollins and soriano for Peavy and Howard.

hanley ramirez at 5, that's pretty low for a a guy who has power and speed, not too mention a great season last year even though he was injured
and about peavy, i don't think any pitcher should be in the top ten but even if i did think one should be a top ten pick it would be santana, combining his talent with the mets offense makes him a lock to have monstruous season
alfonso soriano is better than howard because he has power and speed, not just power

Alright, the reason i picked hanley ramirez so low is this: his off-season shoulder surgery. this could affect his fantasy output. Another thing to consider is the loss of Miguel Cabrera. With only ramirez, the marlins offense is pretty hapless. Now Ramirez not only has more pressure to perform, but he also will have less people driving him in and less people to drive in. The guys ahead of him: Reyes is ahead of him because he should bounce back, and he has a great lineup behind him to drive him in or vice versa. Albert Pujols is a great player and should bounce back this year. His average, hr and rbi totals outdo ram's power and speed combo. Holliday plays in fantasy friendly rockies stadium, and should produce similar nos as he did last year (high avg, hr and rbi)

Soriano is getting towards the end of his career. Howard is still young. Howard is also due to bounce back in terms of his ba from last year. Also, Soriano didnt even steal 20 bases last year. His 30-30 days are over. Howard is a good hr, rbis, and walk producer, and can make up for his lack of speed.

I think rollins season was kind of a fluke. he should return to his normal nos. Peavy can get you ks, era, wins, + ip.

hanley ramirez will still have great stats even though his team his bad
great players don't need to be on great teams for great stats as shown by a-rod's mvp season in Texas
maybe soriano is losing speed but he still he hits for power and scores runs
how can u say last year was a fluke for rollins, if anything he will have a better season because he's in the prime of his career
santana doesn't get you Ks, ERA, wins, and ip?

Stop arguing for santana. You didnt include him! Im saying i wouldnt count on another year like he had last year. He should be more like his early career; not as much power. Peavy is 26, also in the prime of his career. Peavy pitches in a weaker division, and can total up wins. even if he doesnt he still can help you in the ks, era, ip, and whip department.

Ryan Howard can also hit for power and score runs. Even more so than Soriano. And Howard is way ahead of soriano in the rbi and walk department. These differences will make up for the like 15 more stolen bases soriano will have.

Hanley Ramirez is no arod. do not make that comparison. I understand that it can happen, but it is an added difficulty to overcome. With this and shoulder surgery, he'll have a hard time producing more than Pujols, Reyes, and Holliday who all have advantages over him in some way.

id also like to point out Utley. He would have had an mvp caliber year if he hadnt missed so many games. I move him up because hell get you avg, power, runs prod, and a little speed as well. He should really be ahead of cabrera because he can emulate cabrera's power nos, and he can destroy him out in the sb department.

depends on format...can't just throw names out tehr without stating the format of fantsy baseball...

Roto is different from fantasy point...to name the biggest difference....

February 9, 2008  02:22 PM ET

And don't forget the more prevelant H2H formats now where pitching gets you alot of points. They are almost more important than hitters...
Lord- my guys are trying the same draft with 3 formats. Just too see what one works best.

February 9, 2008  02:32 PM ET

the best format, in my opinion, is Fantasy Point...if you get the best team gathered, you should win...

Is your H2H roto or fantasy point based?
