RULES:Can not use KG.Please dont ask why and start the garbage because of the rule, but its hard to add him because he's been out for almost 12 games.

1.Kobe Bryant

2.Chris Paul

3.Lebron James

4.Dwight Howard

5.Allen Iverson

1. Kobe Bryant

2. LeBron James

3. Chris Paul

4. Steve Nash

5. Carmelo Anthony

Ok so here is our differences.

Chris Paul vs Lebron James:

I chose chris paul because he is more VALUABLE to his team.Don't get me wrong, james is playing at a MJ level. But last year when chris paul was injured the hornets struggled, then they made a late season run when he came back and barely missed the post season. And this year when paul is healthy, they are a top 4 team in the west half way through the season.

STATS:
ppg-20.5
apg-10.9
rpg-4
spg-2.6

Dwight Howard vs Steve Nash

We all know that Dwight howard is the best center in the NBA in only his 3rd year. That is amazing,He has been dominant this whole year. He's consistent and takes over games.Steve Nash is also consistent but plays with better players then howard. When your a point guard and you got marion, stoudemire, bell, barbosa to pass to then you are bound to have 11 assist a night. If you ask me,nash is not the best point guard in the nba anymore.PAUL IS.Working with less talent. But anyways,Howard is averaging great numbers.

ppg-21.7
rpg-14.6
bpg-2.4

ran out of space, more to come

Chris vs. LeBron

You think Chris is more valuable to the Hornets than LeBron is to the Cavs....are we watching the same league?

The Cavs are NOTHING without James...who do they have overrated Z and flop Varejao. How about injury Hughes. Without Paul, the Hornets still have Stojakavic, West and Chandler.

ppg - 20.5 vs. 30.3 (LeBron wins)
apg - 10.9 vs. 7.3 (CP3 wins)
rpg - 4 vs. 7.8 (LeBron wins)
spg - 2.6 vs. 2.1 (CP3 wins by a smidge)
FG% - 47.6 vs. 48.4 (LeBron wins)

You didn't compare any stats....and this is probably why. LeBron wins in 3 out of the 5 categories.

Dwight Howard vs. Steve Nash

Paul is not a better PG than Nash YET. Nash is still the gold standard. Howard is a beast, but he isn't as valuable to his team. Without him they still have Lewis and Turkoglu. Without Nash, the Suns have Stoudemire and Shaq.

Lewis and Turkoglu>Stoudemire and Shaq

'Melo vs AI:

Well, they play on the same team...and guess what? Even AI said that the Nuggets are 'Melo's team. AI is good, but 'Melo brings a new dimension to this team.

Out of space, more to come.

Uh the reason why i did not compare stats is because no point guard in the nba will have more rebounds then a small forward. So if you did not know that then you need to know that.LOL.

But seriously,This is not what team has more without that player. It's what player makes the most impact on his teams success.Paul proved that he is the reason why the hornets are where nthey are, last year without they were not playoff contenders till he came back late season.Of course the cavs need lebron more then the hornets need paul because the cavs have no talent besides LJ,so that is pretty meaningless.

Howard dominates a position that past centers struggled at in there first few years. He is now better then any center in the game only at 20.Boards,points,defense he does it all.Nash needs to prove he can get 11 assist a year without sharp shooters.Oh yea, early in his career he proved that.

And, no PG will have more assists than a SF.

"Of course the cavs need lebron more then the hornets need paul because the cavs have no talent besides LJ,so that is pretty meaningless."

How is that meaningless? That proves my point, LeBron James is more valuable to the Cavs than Chris Paul is to the Hornets.

The Suns don't have sharpshooters...

'Melo is underrated...He puts of GREAT numbers, and is worthy of a MVP.

I'll wait for final arguments before I vote.

February 14, 2008  05:59 PM ET

I don't know enough about the nba to vote intelligently. But my unintelligent vote goes to <------ His argument made more sense. I might change my mind though.

February 14, 2008  07:36 PM ET

February 14, 2008  07:40 PM ET

AI?, and that no KG rule was kinda dumb

February 14, 2008  08:01 PM ET

lebron is way more valuable...he doesnt play 4 straight games...and what happens...the cavs go on a 4 game losing streak.....

February 15, 2008  10:43 AM ET

I voted on the arguments. Dudeman gets my vote. How is the Cavs being terrible without LeBron meaningless? That only proves how valuable he is!
