Not in and order

Willie Mays
Mickey Mantle
Ty cobb

without picking the all of the obvious Greatest CFs of all time offensively ill go with an offensive a defensive and a both

Offensive(Ty Cobb)
Defensive( Richie Ashburn)
Both( Willie Mays)

way to go for an easy win...so we disagree on Ashburn and Mantle

Richie Ashburn was never known for his offensive prowess he did have a .308 lifetime batting average and only struck out 571 times in 15 years.

one of the few men to ever win a triple crown lifetime average of 298 536 homeruns.
Greatest switch hitter ever
3 MVP awards
16 all star games
and i didnt say defensive and offensive.. all around mickey mantle was one of the best ever. played through multiple injusries and with terrible knees was still one of the best ever.

I never said that Mantle wasnt one of the best ever the fact is that you picked what have to be the three most undisputable All around best CFs that have ever played the game.I know you dont know this but that has never and will never go over well with the natives.

Anyways Richie Ashburn was a defensive specialist tpping 500 putouts 4 times and averaging 405 PO a year.

Career .983 Fielding Percentage

6 Time All-Star
Led League Twice in BA while leading the league in ABs 4 times
Led League 4 times in OBP and BB

On top of that he was Terrific offensively averaging:

171 hits
15 Steals
80 BB ( the hard way)(none of this pitch around him cuz he can hit the longball, proven by his career high of 7hrs(59 total))
21 Doubles

if i were you i would've said Joe Dimaggio. But Mantle was great. He was all around the best.. Ran 3.1 one to first baseb his rookie year.. Fastest ever. Torn his knee and had over 20 injuries.. He still holds the records for most World Series home runs (18), RBIs (40), runs (42), walks (43), extra-base hits (26), and total bases (123).

This is just dumb. A good TD screwed up by idiocy. Mantle was one of the best players ever but that doesnt make him a shoe-in here. Whatever. Not worth analyzing for a vote.

Taking guys like Mays, Mantle and Cobb makes it hard to leave off guys like:
Tris Speaker, the premier fielder, lifetime .345 hitter
Or Max "Scoops" Carey who had 86 outfield double-plays!
Should have been a Top 5 category list...

It's hard to leave Mickey Mantle off the list...
