2006 NBA Re-Draft Top 5!

Things to note, when doing this you also need to take into account what each team had in 2006. The roster they played, draft for team needs not best player available.
Here's my list:

#1
Toronto Raptors
Original Pick: Andrea Bargnani
Re-Do Pick: Brandon Roy

#2
Chicago Bulls
Original Pick: LaMarcus Aldridge
Re-Do Pick: LaMarcus Aldridge

#3
Charlotte Bobcats
Original Pick: Adam Morrison
Re-Do Pick: Rudy Gay

#4
Portland Trail Blazers
Original Pick: Tyrus Thomas
Re-Do Pick: Randy Foye

Atlanta Hawks
Original Pick: Sheldon Williams
Re-Do Pick: Andrea Bargnani (Tough pick between him and Rondo, but I ultimately went with size, they ain't gonna win with Pachulia patrolling the paint.)


Not much of a difference, but here it goes...

1. Roy...Best player of the bunch
2. Aldridge...Bulls should have kept him
3. Gay...MJ should have appreciated an athletic freak when he saw Gay
4. Foye...If Blazers didn't get Roy and Aldridge, Foye is best available player
5. Rondo...They still wouldn't have won with Bargnani patrolling the paint


Ima take a big like Bargnani over Rondo who is only thriving because he has the Boston Three Party, Bargnani would have been a major upgrade in the paint, more of an upgrade than Rondo at the point.

Sure were a lot of busts and bad choices in 2006

Bargnani actually got worse this year and is probably a bust

Sheldon is a bust

Bobcats drafted Morrison (they never draft potential, they draft safe picks that are not bad but not great either).

The Bulls traded down for Tyrus

The Wolves traded down for Roy (I am a Wolves fan, I didn't know too much about Roy or Foye at the time but I knew whatever McHale did would be a bad choice)

Wrong! They drafted ignorantly- Had Jerry Drafted Morrison in 1990- MJ would have Killed him every DAY in practice and Adam would be out of the NBA in a YEAR

I still remember Stephen A. Smith ragging on Portland for trading for Roy and Aldridge that day. Kevin Pritchard sure punked everyone that day.

It seems as if someone's missing. I like Roy, Aldrigde, Gay and Foye. Jury's still out on Bargnani. Rondo's suprising. Williams is a bust.

Definitely vote to Odenator. If the Hawks took Rondo, they wouldn't have had the need to trade for Mike Bibby.
