More Fooled?

The Romosexuals (Romo Fans)

vs

AP Aholoics (fans who thing AP is going to be great forever)

I will let you choose. I think both are way overhyped.

Id say the Romosexuals are more fooled then anyone....

The Cowboys have a great Defense.....Ellis, Newman, Marcus Spears and Demarcus Ware.

They had a decent offense with Jones, Barber, Jason Witten and TO. Even Patrick Crayton stepped it up.

But Romo is NOT what people think he is...Anyone remember the Bills game on MNF??? Buffalo had 18 INTs on Defense....1/3 of those INTs came against Romo and the Cowboys in single game. Now as much of a homer as I am.... I know that our secondary was not that good last seaosn.

This just goes to show that he seriously under estimated the Bills. Not only that, but it calls into question his work ethic and dedication. Who takes a vacation to Mexico in the middle of the sesaon?? I dont know about you, but when I went to Mexico that last thing I did was relax. I partied my ass off like everyone else and tried to hump every girl that passed by...

I will take AP.

First of all when running the football: The offensive line, and play selection are more important that the back himself.

You gotta understand that Chester Taylor only averaged 2 tenths of a yard per carry less than AP. Their stats almost mirror except AP simply had more carries. Taylor also averaged 1.4 ypc that he did himself the previous year. This tells me it was the offensive line and play selection.

Backs are a dime per dozen. Everyone in the NFL has a Willie Parker on the practice squad just waiting for a chance. When the Vikings O-line faulters, Or the play selection changes that could be all. Look at the first 4 games of the season for LT last season. He couldnt even get out of the backfield.

Not to mention AP has an injury history and runs very wreckless. His next game could easily be his last.

Like it or not....AP has already stamped his name all over the record books. Not only does he have the single game rushing record, but he also has a Pro Bowl MVP to add. What does Tony Romo have??? Well, the only thing he stamped is Jessica Simpson's ass cheek. A big accomplishments by all rights, but it doesnt matter come Sunday afternoon.

AP is already considerd one of the best backs in the NFL. Him, Westbrook, and LT are the best of the bunch from last season. He is considerd a top 3 RB in the NFL today....

Romo barley cracks the top 5 QB's.....Manning, Brady, Anderson, Brees, Palmer, Ben....They are all better or equal to ****, I mean Romo....

"The offensive line, and play selection are more important that the back himself"

While I agree with part of that statement...You cant blindly say those things. Well you can cause your Frank, but that doesnt make them true. Play calling AND the Oline are very important. But if you put Cedric Benson behind the O-Line in Minny and I bet he still goes down on first contact. Thats whats key for a RB...Yards after contact, which Peterson has in Spades!!!

Cedric Benson as the example? Wasnt he the back at TX from 1983-2005? Come on man. Lets Try Clinton Portis behind that O-Line and see how it works out.

****, Sorry Romo, Is winning. He seems to play the game smart. He is a smart player like him or not. Underwood and Simpson? All jokes aside, I think Romo will be a starter in this league much longer than AP

Im not refering to the quality of last season either. I am refering to which player will be most valuable to their team in 2010. It will not be AP.

You cant get all hyped up on a running back like you can a QB. Especially a running back with a history of injury.

Here will be my evidence to the main point: Who will be the leading rusher in the NFL this season? Whoever wins the job in Houston: 2 words: Alex Gibbs.

Bottom line Romo is the better football player.

"Who will be the leading rusher in the NFL this season?"

It wont be Tony Romo......

AP has a better chance of leading the NFL in ALL rushing stats than Romo does of leading the NFL in all passing stats. Im not a Peterson guy... Im not a Romo guy either. But when you look at Peterson you see somthing special. Somthing I havent seen in a RB in a very long time. Tony Romo is nothing more that a average, to above average Quaterback. Wether he is average or above average depends on who is in the stands and what 3rd world country he just left......

"Im not refering to the quality of last season either. I am refering to which player will be most valuable to their team in 2010. "

Funny how you wait till the 3rd argument to state that.....Romo was a very good find as a UDFA, but he hasnt done anything yet...Anything worth noting. Sure he made a PB, but Peterson was the MVP, NOT Romo....Romo led the NFL in the following passing stats..

NONE

Goodell. Thank god. I couldn't have resisted much longer.

I find no humor in the Romo bit, Frank.

Who would you have taken Porkins??

Report Offensive Comment

It's not that Romo was bad against the Bills on MNF, it was just that the Boys wanted to put yet another dager into the heart of Bills fans by allowing them to think they could inflict revenge for the 90's. Ha ha khh khh.

Sorry Goodell, but you say they have a great defense...but it is the D that what killed them last year. Not their O

Um, that trip to Mexico occurred after the season Goodell, during the first round bye that they had....as much of a Romo fan that I am though, he is overrated until he proves himslef in the playoffs. AP is the real deal. Better arugments from Goodell, as always. Voting right.

Also, A's numbers went down after the injury, before he was hurt, he was about 6.5 YPC, including the GB game where he got hurt. In addition, if it was all of the offensive line, then how come no one else has run for 296 yards in a game. The Vikings do notr have the greatest O-line of all time, so some of it must be the RB

If your team is still in the playoffs, it's not AFTER the season, what an idiotic statement.

Tough call. I think AP will have lingering injury issues, but hopefully not. He is exciting to watch. Romo is overrated, I agree, but as long as the Dallas O-line protects him, I think he will be effective. I'm leaning left but will wait for arguments.

DAMN IT....

I typed out my whole argument and lost it.....

AP hasn't proven anything in the playoffs, yet somehow he is already the real deal? Next your gonna tell me that AP plays in the stronger division too right.

"Romo barley cracks the top 5 QB's.....Manning, Brady, Anderson, Brees, Palmer, Ben....They are all better or equal to ****, I mean Romo.... " GOODELL

Did you seriously just call Derek Anderson a top 5 QB over Tony Romo. Anderson is nothing more than what Romo was before last year. An enigma. No one truly knows if he is for real. He had a rating of 90 or more once in his last 9 games last year. So lets settle down with the DA love, please. Also Romo had 10 games with a rating over 100 and could use some WR's who have a clue of how to catch a ball consisitently. He had bad games but who didn't????????? Yes even Brady did.

Report Offensive Comment

Im not on the DA bandwagon....But he was a better QB then Romo last season. And he didnt have a Jason Witten or a TO to throw to.....

Report Offensive Comment

Kellen Winslow and Braylon Edwards are pretty darn good. Go back and look at the numbers and tell me how DA was better than ROMO. That is an asinine statement based to much on his one bad game against your Bills.

Peterson is going to be great forever vote left

Report Offensive Comment

AP might have a better chance at leading the league in rushing stats than Romo does passing stats, but it's not by a huge percentage.

Great forever? I don't know about that. The way he runs, I see 7 good years. 7 does not equal forever.

DARREN MCFADDEN!

Sorry Goodell, thats leftover resentment from your last TD.

As for this one - Now you've put me in the position of doing the unthinkable, the unmentionable, the "dirty deed" if you will - voting for Frank in a TD. He has a clearly superior argument to yours and has taken (by default cause you didn't take it) the point of view that is correct.

Romo led the NFL in the following passing stats..

NONE

His first year of starting he led the league in yards per attempt.

Sorry, i am just being an a&*.
