Jordan's two biggest mistakes....

-Playing baseball after his dad died

-taking Kwame Brown number 1 in the nba draft

Reasons for the playing baseball are this, he wasn't good at all. Yes, the Baron's probably recieved incredible amounts of revenue for sure but Jordan let Hakeem take over the nba and Jordan could have had up to 8 titles. Not that he ruined his legacy or anthing.

Jordan taking Kwame Brown hurt his managerial decisions and people made opinions. Taking Kwame hurt the franchise and showed Jordan coudn't conquer every aspect.

-His gambling problem and his downfall with his wife are just about what any normal american deals with. Maybe not the gambling but keeping families intact are hard sometimes. Jordan playing baseball was pointless and taking Kwame was TOO.

I'm going to say his two biggest mistakes were playing baseball and making a comeback with the wizards.

The comeback with the wizards was a mistake because he wasn't the same player. You could notice it in his shots and the way he ran. He was just too old. The two years he player he only averaged 22.9 and 20 ppg which were his 2 lowest totals in his career by almost 6 points a game. He came back to play for a team that wasen't good and had no shot of winning a title. Jordan has always been about winning and when he came back that didn't seem to matter anymore. I know he thought he could still play and, well he could, but not at the top player he once was. He was just average at best. Both seasons he played they failed to eve make the playoffs. He never should have comeback because everyone will always remember those two mediocre years that he didn't even make the playoffs in. His legacy was set before that, but he had to comeback and not really taint it, but people will defiantly remember that comeback...and not for a good reason.

MJ returning to basketball was GREAT. I did no go the way he wanted but i'm sure if was fun for Washington as a whole. Jordan was the oldest nba player ever to get 40 points. Jordan brought fun back to Wizards basketball. They were missing that. I'm sure the owner of the Wizard's didn't mind either. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$Brining the legendary number 23 to any city is GREAT. trust me

Back to Kwame. He is manager of operations for the Charlotte Bobcats. A couple teams dissed Jordan's decision making by getting Kwame. Kwame hasn't averaged in double digits in his tenure in the nba. Bad move Jordan. Jordan ruined their number 1 pick. bottom line

only averged 22.9 and 20 that to me is a lot for a player as old as he was and im not saying it was good im saying it wasnt one of his biggest mistakes

? when your the greatest player to ever play and you comeback to just be average thats not a smart choice, especially after not making the playoffs either year.

i dont think coming back with the wizards was a mistake....you say he averaged 22 ppg, that still puts him above 85% of the people in the league....not to mention he came back for the game....not to win a championship.....i mean the dude blinds you with one hand let alone two....

"He never should have comeback because everyone will always remember those two mediocre years that he didn't even make the playoffs"

yep....your exactly right....it wont be remembering

the 6 NBA Championships
the 2 three peats,
the 5 time MVP of basketball or the
14 all star games or
the 2 MVPs of the all star game
gold medals in the oympics
or defensive player of the year award
ROY award

Are you kidding me? You say the name jordan and the first thing to someones mind is arguably the best basketball player ever

and what follows....two mediocre years with the wizards....still comes to mind along with all the other great stats....shouldn't have comeback because then you have nothing negative in a great career.

yeah when i saw him miss a dunk... going to play with washington was the worst

Ruined sentence, making correction

I did no go the way he wanted but i'm sure if was fun for Washington as a whole

It did not go the way he wanted but i'm sure it was for Washington as a whole. (Jordan in DC) CORRECTION

Except for the numerous times you've been caught cheating, you're right!

I disagree with both.

WHy is playing baseball a mistake?? He wanted to play, he had plenty of money so finances were not an issue, why not play? No, it didn't work out and he didn't make it to the majors but he did get to play ball for a couple of years.

I would say the comeback with the Wizards was one, the negative being the old "watching an old star play as a shell of his former greatness."

I would say the second big mistake was his relationship wih a shady gambling character that led to him getting called into the commisioners office and to be questioned about his gambling issues.

I would also agree that taking Brown out of High School was a poor decision
