Well, actually...since you have 2 more arguments...you do need to say more.
Here is what got me....your phrase, the Yankees are better...indicates what?
The present.
In the present, the Red Sox are 27-19 in 1st place. While the Yankees are 20-23, having lost 3 of their last 10 games. And in head-to-head matchup this year - Edge Red Sox 3-2. And tell me, how are Defending Champs inferior to a barely 07 wildcard team with a stale exit in division series?
Bottom line is this: When you have to use stats from 1903 to prove your team is better, that's when you know they aren't.
