Pro Triangle Tourney Rd 1 - NBA - Which sub .500 team will be over .500 next year?

I will go with the team that was almost there...the 76ers.

40-42, .488 win pct. They closed out the 2nd part of the season on a strong run backed by the strong play of Iguodala and Andre Miller.

Though they don't have any flashy superstars, they do have solid role players and a decent enough bench, these guys played good enough offense (11th in NBA in FG %), good ball handling (11th in NBA for less TOs) and defense (7th in NBA for pts allowed). And that's all it takes for the East...

Not to mention the 1st Round draft picks they got from the Jazz and their own...look for this young athletic team to improve on their record come next year.

Ill go with the Bobcats

The Bobcats also had a solid season last year finishing only five games away from a playoff spot. This year they will have Larry Brown as head coach who will bring a winning mentallity and add some much needed disipline which they lacked and help them get over .500

They have a loaded team full of talent and a very underrated starting lineup

Raymond Felton-One of the most underrated players in the NBA.He averaged 14 points,3 rebounds, and seven assist last year so he has the skill to lead the Bobcats. Also with Larry Brown as head coach he will be a much better player and lead the Bobcats over .500

Jason Richardson-Jason is a great scorer,he gets open and hits clutch shoots. Also hes a great scorer and a great team leader.

Gereld Wallace-The most underrated player in the NBA does it all,a great socrer and defender opposing teams fear him and will become a star after the season

Emeka Okafor-One of the best rebounders in the NBA gets the job done and starts many fast breaks.

In all the Bobcats have a great team with many other good role players and will finish over .500

I'm sure Larry Brown will bring mental to the Bobcats, not so sure about the winning part though, after all what did he do in New York?

The Bobcats do have young talent, however they ended up 18 games below .500, and to say they will have a 19 game turnaround is a strecth. I mean, what moves have they made to have this change?

If you looks at 06-07 record, they actually were one game worse!

Was it the fault of injuries?!? NO!!

Felton - played 79 games
Richardson- played the whole season
Wallace- played 62 games
Okafor- played the whole season

So why didn't they win?

Simple, if you take away those players I mentioned...you have 10 guys avg. just 27.7 pts per game.

In other words, no supporting cast, no bench.

Will they improve with Brown? In all honesty I think they will. But with the players they have, you can't expect too much change.

Forfeited Turn

You forfeited your turn much like the Bobcats' dreams with the lottery results.

Forfeited Turn

I'd go with the 76ers right now.

I was leaning left, but the forfeited turn kills your chances of winning IMO.
