Chase Utley vs. Dan Uggla- Close one but Dan Uggla wins because of the homerun last night. Dan Uggla is the best hitter right now.
Pat Burrell vs. Jayson Werth- Jayson has been better than Pat, remember his 3 homeruns in one game, Pat is always hot for at least one month but he cools it down.
And it hard to make changes too.

1) Uggla vs Utley - As you admitted, Uggla wins in extra base hits, in HRs, in RBIs, in batting avg, in OBP, in SLG and in OPS...Though Utley may be a better player, no 2B is hitting and playing as good as Uggla is in the NL.
2) Burrell vs Werth
Whether Pat is hot or not is besides the fact, bottom line is he has put up better numbers this season than Werth
Hits - Edge Burrell by 11
Extra-base hits - Burrell by 6
HRs- Burrell by 3
RBIs- Burrell by 8
Walks - Burrell by 25! (This just shows a pitcher's recognition that Burrell is a dangerous batter and a patient one as well)
Bat avg - Edge Burrell .276 to .260
OBP - Edge Burrell .415 to .338
SLG- Edge Burrell .571 to .519
OPS- Edge Burrell .985 to .857
The only category Werth wins is in errors 2-0.
Kind of lopsided dont you think?

Report Offensive CommentCloser should be Billy Wagner.
No matter what he says (about his teammates), he is a great closer.
