Best QB-Receiver duo ever in NFL .

I'll go with Manning to Marvin.

Nice argument.

I'm going with Jerry Rice and Steve Young. Jerry rice is the best WR of all time, and he played his entire career with Steve Young and won championships.

You really didn't have an argument, so I will supply one...and I can too since there is no rule that says I can't.

Here are some statistics about these players.

They have a combined 20 Pro Bowls, 19 All-Pro selections, 3 Super Bowls, both their numbers are retired. Jerry Rice made the 1980s All-Decade Team, and the 1990s All-Decade Team. Rice was Super Bowl XXIII MVP. Steve young was Super Bowl XXIX MVP, and he won 2 NFL MVPS.

Peyton Manning-Marvin Harrison only have won one Super Bowl while Jerry Rice-Steve Young have won 3 Super Bowls.

Jerry Rice-Steve Youn is the best QB-WR duo ever in the NFL.

Manning and Harrison have hooked up for an NFL record pass completions and an NFL record passing/ receiving yards and they have the record for most TDs. So its obvious they've relied on each other more than any other QB- WR duo ever. Both are 8 time pro bowl seletions- 2 short of steve and jerry but this duo is ending any time soon. You can't really argue that this duo is so much better based on super bowls- Steve Younge only started one Super Bowl with Jerry Rice. And Mannig has won the NFL MVP twice also and a Super Bowl MVP and a Pro Bowl MVP. Sure your 2 players might edge out M&M but that's only becuase Rice is the best receiver ever but your as far as a QB relying on a receiver and a WR relying on a QB your duo isn't as good. Were not looking at indivual stats, the M&M duo has broken 3 records- together and has won as many Super Bowls- together ( on the feild) as Jerry& Steve. You can also argue that Jerry& Steve wasn't even the best duo ever in that teams history- Joe Montana was a better QB.

How is it obvious? It just means that Peyton Manning throws to Marvin Harrison a lot more than the other receivers.

I could name you off all the records Rice has and all the records Young has...but I would have way more than 3600 characters, so I can't do that.

Rice and Young actually have 4 more than Manning and Harrison.

Joe Montana didn't play with Rice for long...as Steve and Rice played longer.

They have 19 All-Pros which is really good, plus they both their numbers retired which is a big thing.

Im not looking at individual stats either, I'm saying the stats as they played together. These two players played very well together.

Jerry Rice and Joe Montana were great, but Jerry Rice and Steve Young played for a longer time together and did very well with great stats.

Rice-Young was the best QB-WR duo ever in the NFL.

score shouldnt be 14-2 with (basically) only 2 arguments ... wait it out I thought the left had a descent argument

A decent argument? Look at his first...it is 5 words!

Steve Young (1987-1999)
Jerry Rice (1985-2000)

Montana played with Rice only a few years. Young played with Rice almost his entire career.

Report Offensive Comment

Those years were the years they played on the 49ers.

Report Offensive Comment

Yeah, but dyhard, those numbers are mis-leading, as Young backed up Montan for many years. Steve Young didn't start an entire season until 1992.
