These are the undisputed facts- the redwings, guided by the best front office in hockey, have led the wings by drafting great, hard working two-way players who can punish their oponnents both in the defensive and offensive zone, and use puck control to guide the most EXCITING TEAM IN HOCKEY.!! Starting in 1997, the wings have produced highly competitive teams that have taken them to the pinnacle of sports, winning four STANLEY CUP TITLES along the way.
Goodell: Welcome Back Peters! said 06/18, 06:46 PM
Let me say I am not choosing the Pats because any team that is punished for cheating should not be in the discussion!
The Indy Colts are the best run Pro Sports team.
Since 1999, the Colts are 102-42. Thats a winning percentage of 71%. Yes, that right. The Colts have won 71% of thier games since 1999. Thats a better winning percetange than the Patriots who have lost 3 more games than the Colts.
In those 10 years, Indy has had NINE, 10 win seasons, including 5 consecutive seasons of winning 12 games or more
In the past 10 seasons, Indy has finished 4th or better in total points 9 times
In the past 10 seasons, Indy has finished 5th or better in total yards 9 times
The Colts have even been able lobby for a brand new stadium, and got it with a brand new lease. The Colts have been modle citizen's both on and off the field with few if any scandals. The Colts current roster is litterd with future HOFers like Peyton, Marvin, Tony D, Jeff Saturday...
Over the past Decade, the Colts have won thier Division for 6 out of the ten seasons. That includes playoff appearance's in NINE of the last 10 seasons

The Wings stats engulf those of the Colts. Lets start with the STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONSIP this season, the forth overall scince 1997. The Wings have also had the BEST RECORD in the NHL NINE TIMES scince 1992, including 62 WINS IN 1995. HALL OF FAME PLAYERS? I will take YZERMAN, SHANAHAN, LIDSTROM,FEDEROV,LARINOV, MUPHY, CHELIOS, and coaches SCOTTY BOWMAN, and MIKE BABCOCK.

Report Offensive CommentThe Red Sox would HAVE to be in this discussion, They have a great farm system, know when to let high priced veterans go (Pedro and Damon for example) Won the WS in 04, retooled the team and came back younger to win again just 3 short years later. They learned to stick with their youngsters and not over pay for superstars that don't fit in, something Brian Cashman to his credit is trying so hard to teach Hank ( the mean ol' NL hurt my pitcher) Stienbrenner.

Report Offensive CommentRandomCaribou...then why have they only won one superbowl in recent history? I hate the red wings, but vote left

Report Offensive Commentofficer farva is right. Spurs are widely considered to be the best run sports ranchsie in american pro athletics. They have the best winning % in te last 10 years out of any pro sports team.

Report Offensive Commenti agree with officer farva with his choice to bad he didn't take the td. but out of this arguement i would still have to lean left because how many times have the colts under achieved? probably would have started this td with at least a time frame to stick to like over the last five years or ten years.

Report Offensive CommentKudos to Coach with the Red Sox mention. 80+ years of frustration wiped out by some forward-thinking, open-minded owners, and a really talented GM. They have as much young talent as any team in baseball, 2 titles in the last 4 years, and a killer roster.
The Spurs are a great choice as well.
I'll wait for more arguments here though. I agree with the Wings choice over the Colts, but Goodell's arguments have been better thus far.
Porkins: Pisses Excellence | 06/19/08, 07:51 AM
Report Offensive CommentWow- this is a tough one. I live in Indiana and follow the Colts, but am a huge Tigers and Wings fan. So far though I never have seen the risks taken by the Colts like Illich has so I would have to go with the Wings on this one but like Porkins, Goodell makes better and more clear points for support. I'll check in later to vote.
