First, let me give the TD pimp props for the TD idea....
You said...
"Terry Bradshaw and Steve Young are Barely Top 10 QB Let alone top 7"
Bradshaw is NOT a top 7 QB, but Young is....
Steve Young
7X PBer
7X all Pro
2X NFL MVP
3X SB Champ
Records:
96.8 career QB Rating
43 career QB Rushing Touchdowns
Super Bowl Record 6 Touchdown passes
How the hell is the most efficent passer in the history of the NFL, not a top 7 QB??? I say there is little to no dbout that he is......

First off The Boondock Saints is probally my favorite movie of all time
Anyway Yea i said It I said Young Isint a top 7 QB of all time.
QB FAR AND AHEAD OF YOUNG
Dan Marino
Brett Favre
Johnny Unitas
Otto Graham
John Elway
Joe Montana
QB Close to Young But a bit better
Peyton Manning
Warren Moon
Bart Starr
Fran Tarkenton
Alright alls I have to do is prove one of these QB'S are better then Young.
First
Peyton Manning
Touchdowns
Manning-322 Combined(306 Passing)
Young-275 Combined(232 Passing)
Well Manning has more Touchdown passes then Young Does Combined I mean tht is Kind of amazing considering Young Played in 9 More Games.
Yards
Manning-41,626
Young-33,124
Yet Again Manning Played in 9 less games But Still has 5,000 more passing yards.
Both Have 2 NFL MVP'S Both have a Ring with a super Bowl MVP.
Manning has a .1 Less Completion rate But Manning has over 1,000 more Attempts and only a .1 Less completion rate.
Manning averaged 260 yards per game YOUNG DIDNT EVEN AVERAGE 200.
Manning has also proved to be much more durable then Young I would want the better passer with the better durability.
Good Luck
Good TD

Its alright its happened to me before to.
Yea But that is why Young isint a top 7 he wasnt great his whole career he was great no doubt about it But Guys Manning Favre Montana they have pretty Much been good there whole career.
Young Is only the most efficient passer because he had a pretty short career he hasnt thrown anywhere near as many passes as guy like Marino Favre Elway and Manning even has more passes then him.
Chances are tht the more passes you throw the more times you have to miss or make a mistake.
So The fact tht Young is the most precise and efficient passer is misleaing also considering Young had Injury Problems. which is why he wasnt a top 7.
The only reason I really dont consider Young a top 7 QB is because of How Long he played he really only had 6 Great season along with 2 average seasons and 7 Bad seasons
While Guys Like Manning have had only 1 bad season with 9 Good seasons
Favre has had about 10 good seasons 4 decent seasons and 2 terrible seasons.
So Like I said Guys Like Manning and Favre have withstood the test of Time. Sure you say Manning has played less games the Young But how many Games has Manning Missed in his career....

Steve Young led the NFL in Completetion % for 5 out of 6 years. One year, he even posted a completetion % of 70.3...Which is the only time in NFL history a starting QB has completed 70 percent of his passes.
He led the NFL in TD passes 4 times....2 of the 4 times he also led the NFL in completetion percentage.
Steve led the NFL in passer rating a whoping 6 times....He had a passer rating over 100 a total of 8 times over his career and went over 120 two times
Steve is the most effiecent passer to ever play in the NFL. Add that to all the MVP's and SB wins and you have top 7 marterial. I would even argue that Steve is a top 5 QB. Im not saying its set in stone, but I would TD about that too.....
While a starter in SF....Steve threw 10 or less INTS 5 times.
He is the most consistent QB of all time not counting any active players.....I havent even touched on his rushing abilties

He is. I hate the 49ners, but Young was greatness. Easily top 7. Bradshaw definitely is not Top 7. They won those rings in spite of him. He was Trent Dilfer before Trent Dilfer....with more INT's.

Report Offensive CommentYoung averaged well over 200 yds/ game as a starter. It's not legit to throw his backup numbers in there and use that against him. The guy served time in Tampa and was misused. And we won't even speak of his USFL days.
Anyway, Young was better tha Favre. Not as prolific, but better. And he was definitely better than the second group you mention, Manning-Tarkenton.
Young has the best career rating in history at 96.8, and during his years in SF his career rating was even better at 101.4. His TD:INT ratio (2.16:1) torches Favre (1.53:1) and easily beats Manning (2.0:1).
There are other guys who were/ are more prolific with their numbers, but that doesn't make them better QBs.

Report Offensive CommentBut Porkins My Only Problem with what you said is That Manning Has accomplished EVERYTHNG AND MORE then What Young id in a shorter Time And If You want to I will T You that Favre is better then Young anydy of the week.
Young wasnt Physically Reliable he had injury Problems if I want a QB i want one that is goanna be able to play Long time without getting Hurt.
Well Why cant you count Young's Bad Days In Tampa it was part of His Career wasnt it? So there for it should count.
Or Since He had bad Years it shouldt count.
Well if tht is the case cant w take away Favre's terrible years?

Report Offensive CommentFrom the moment Steve took over as the starting QB in San Francisco he was a Pro Bowl caliber QB. Ripping off 3 straight 1st team all pro nod's in the first 3 years as a starter. Beating out guys like Elway,TROY AIKMAN, Drew Bledsoe (in his prime)MONTANA and Favre. Then he makes 7 straight PB's....
Bill Walsh saw somthing in him in order to trade to get him. At that time Bill Walsh was coaching the greatest QB of all time in Joe Cool. Doesnt matter who you are, you will probably agree that Joe is the best. So why would you trade a 2nd and a 4th for a guy who was labled a bust? Yeah, Young was labeled a bust before the trade and some how made to it being a first ballot HOFer. Bill Walsh had and eye for talent and as far as I know, the 49ers are the only team in modern history to have back to back first ballot HOF QB's. Every other team that has had a franchise QB spends a decade looking for thier next one. Not true in SF

Report Offensive CommentWell, you both missed an argument...but my hat off to Goodell on this one. I don't think he's right, but his argument was clearly (in my mind) better than Footballfan's (who didn't have a bad argument anyways).
