okay look im not sayin hes automatic number 1. im saying hes top 3. I can think of only 2 other guys in the same league as him.

If you think theres more than 2 other guys better, then take this throwdown. But ya gotta pick retired guys. no sayin you think brady will be better by the end of his career or manning or something. were talkin legends - guys who are retired. ya i know brett could still be back this year - i hope so- buy it lookin more and more like he wont

Brett is the FACE of Green Bay.

He makes okay teams look great.

He is a WINNER.

He is he 4th quarter comeback king.

Top 3 for sure....??? I wouldnt offer that strong of a garuntee for somthing that is SO CONTROVERSIAL

No order......

1) Joe Montana
2) John Elway
3) Dan Marino
4) Steve Young
5) Johny Unitas

All of those guys could be argued for in the top 3 spots of all time....You could even add a few more name's like Sonny Jurgenson and Fran Tarkenton into the mix

If you ask 10 different people who thier top 3 QB's are of all time your gonna get 10 different lists in 10 different orders.

Personally, I would put Brett in the Top 5. I will give you that and I wont argue that, cause I think he is top 5 of alltime, but top 3 is a whole nother ball game. We are talking about the best of the best....Not just who could stay around the longest and perform at an AVERAGE LEVEL

Yeah, i coulda aksed 10 different people. I kinda did. Thats why I put up this td. I wanted someone to step up and put up their top 3 list.

So you would put favre top 5 but not top 3? Okay tell me whos your top 3 so I have something solid to argue against. I dont want to spend my time arguing against 8 other qbs.

If favres not your top 3, step up and pick 3 higher than him. I already said that theres 2 other guys up there with Favre (and ya there on your list)

so whos your specific 3 guys ahead of favre. Tell me and then ill use my next arguement to try and show why favre should be ranked ahead of him.

AVERAGE level???? You said Favres top 5 of all time. And then you say AVERAGE level? C'mon - you should lose a few votes just on that alone.

"Okay tell me whos your top 3 so I have something solid to argue against. I dont want to spend my time arguing against 8 other qbs. "

Ok...You ready for this?

1) Montana
2) Elway
3) Unitas
4) Young

There...to make it harder on ME, I listed 4 QB's that I would take all time over Brett.

Montana - Well 4 SB wins, 3 SB MVP's, 8X PB, 7X AP, 2X NFL MVP. I dont think anyone would argue that Montana is better

Elway - 9X PB, 5X AP, 1987 NFL MVP, SB MVP, 90's all decade team...You got all the 4th quarter comebacks along with "the drive" vs Cleveland.

Unitas - 10x AP, 9X PBer, 3x AP NFL MVP, 3x UPI NFL MVP, 2X NEA NFL MVP, 3x Pro Bowl MVP

Young - 7X PB, 7X AP, 3X SB Champ, SB MVP......Highest passer rating in NFL history. Holds Super Bowl record with 6 TD passes in a single game. Holds NFL record for 43 career QB Rushing Touchdowns

Anything else sunshine??

Okay Finally I got something to argue.

So Young over Favre???

Favre: 3000 yards+ 14 times in a row (4000+ in 95, 98, 99)

3rd fastest guy ever to get 30000 yards

2 TIME LEAGUE MVP

young 7 probowls FAVRE - 9!

6 TDs in ONE GAME for YOUNG? How about 430+ for FAVRE in his career? Were talking all time greats here - not single game accomplishments

Passing yards -- Favre number 1 all time
TDs - Favre number one all time,

Honestly I thought youd have marino up there. Not Young

Young is not in my top 10 even.

What do you mean....."Okay Finally I got something to argue"...???

In my first arguement I had listed 5 QB's that were above Brett. You should have picked 2 or 3 to shoot down, which you didnt do

Young led the NFL in TD's for 3 straight seasons. Funny thing is those were the first 3 season's he started in SF.

You think that Brett getting three 4000+ yards seasons in 17 seaonson's is impressive? Young got 2 in only 7 as a starter

Young also led the NFL in completetion % 5 out of 6 straight seasons. 2 of those season's were when Steve lef the NFL in TD's

While Brett has NEVER had a season with a QB rating over 100....Steve has 7 seasons with a QB rating over 100 including 2 over with a rating of over 120.

The funny thing is I picked 4 QB's to make Brett round out the top 5....I never saw any kind of list from you. Nor did you try to shoot down anyone else. So even if Brett was better than Steve, he's still not top 3 with Montana, Elway and Unitas.......

I've seen some TDs about whether Favre is top 5 or not... but top 3?!?! No way.

June 25, 2008  06:01 PM ET

Top Three? Yes! He certainly has the stats.

Montana, Elway, Favre......then Marino, Young, Bradshaw (for the rings)

June 25, 2008  06:02 PM ET

Goodell is tough! You better bring it!

June 25, 2008  06:12 PM ET

Montana, Favre, Unitas, Elway, Marino

June 25, 2008  06:12 PM ET

stevekay: Favre > Marino? Nah...!

June 25, 2008  06:13 PM ET

Tarkinton, Young, Bradshaw, Phil Simms, Warren Moon

June 25, 2008  06:19 PM ET

Brett is the FACE of Green Bay? Hows that an argument for top 3 QB's?

June 25, 2008  06:22 PM ET

LOL at Hank Hill

June 25, 2008  06:26 PM ET

"Brett is the FACE of Green Bay."

So?

"He makes okay teams look great."

No he doesn't.

"He is a WINNER."

One ring. Montana, Young, Staubach, Elway, Aikman, Bradshaw, etc. were all much bigger winners.

"He is he 4th quarter comeback king."

Not even close. Since 1996 he's not even in the top 10 in 4th QTR. comebacks. For a career Elway is the comeback king snatching victory from the jaws of defeat 47 times in his career. Favre did it 40 times.

Theres maybe some good points down here but the guy that took this TD isnt makin those points! Vote for me.

Of course you do FOREVER A FAVRE FAN......Id be surprised if you didnt have him in your top 2

June 25, 2008  07:11 PM ET

June 25, 2008  07:17 PM ET
