Starting 5
PG- Chris Paul- Rose to elite PG status this year.
SG- Tracy McGrady- Can't carry a team but on here, he wont have to.
SF- Dirk Nowitzki- Playing on a team like this would bring out his talent even more.
PF- Tim Duncan- Possibly the best power forward ever.
C- Yao Ming- 22, 11, and 2, nice from your 5th best starter.
PG- Jason Kidd- Veteran prescence, great when surrounded by talent.
PG- Tony Parker- One of the quickest point guards in the game.
SG- Manu Ginoboli- Best 6th man we have seen in a long time.
SF- Bruce Bowen- Defensive stopper for the 4th quarter and can drop a 3 on you.
SF- Peja Stojacavic- 44% from 3, imagine if he had these guys on the court with him.
PF- David West- Emerged in the playoffs as a real threat from 19 feet and in, also a great rebounder.
C- Tyson Chandler- Alley-oop machine and a phenomenal team defender.

I was going to go with the Pacific Division, but I found another division that is better, the Northwest Division:
Starting 5
PG: Deron Williams - Also rose to elite PG status last year.
SG: AI - Arguably one of the greatest scorers EVER in the history of the NBA.
SF: Carmelo Anthony - 'Melo can score all night, and can rebound.
PF: Carlos Boozer - Arguably the most athletic PF in the NBA and is a 20-10 guy every night.
C: Marcus Camby - Best defender in the West, he can block and rebound all night..
Bench:
PG: Jarrett Jack - May not be the best, but he can dictate the pace of a game and score.
SG: Brandon Roy - Up-and-coming superstar, in his second year he put up sick numbers: 19.1 - 4.7 - 5.8.
SF: Kevin Durant - Long and versatile, enormous amount of potential and will be a superstar.
SF: Andrei Kirilenko - A great all around player that does the little things like rebound, block shots and provide a long defender.
PF: Al Jefferson - He proved he belonged last year with 21-11 every game.
PF: Lamarcus Aldridge - He had a breakout season last year, and the Trailblazers are gonna have a great PF-C combination.
C: Mehmet Okur - He can shoot from deep and rebound

PG
Paul was second in the MVP voting and the best point in the league this year. Williams was close but not as good. Also Paul is the better passer and with teams like these that is the key. My backups would kill Jack, I don't think we have an arguement their.
SG
AI is great but he would have a lot of trouble with the much bigger T Mac. Roy is great but Manu is just as versatile and is a champion with more experience.
SF
Carmelo is a me me me guy, Dirk would love to be a role player and would love the ability to stroke 3's on this team full of inside bodies. Bowen is the better defender over Kirilenko. Peja gives me the 3 point constant, you don't have and Durant would not be able to contribute on that team.
PF
Duncan is the best we have seen, Boozer is good. David West is a proven playoof performer, while AL had plenty of chance to throw up numbers on a loser.
C
Ming owned Camby this year averaging 24 and 16 against him. Chandler is a great defender and Okur is nothing more than a scorer. Do you really think a team like this needs more scorers.
You have three Nuggets starting, we saw how good of chemistry they had this year.
More space needed.....

PG - Yea, your backups are the more sexier picks than Jack, but Jack can make a huge impact in a game with his skillset of scoring, defense and assists. Williams are Paul are so close that it's nearly a tie with Paul ahead by very little.
SG - AI is the more proven scorer and he is the greatest little man the NBA has ever seen. He's a surefire hall of famer. Roy is stud and can take over a game. He put up ridiculous numbers for a sophmore, and Manu can't match him.
SF - Dirk always has had problems in the post and as a SF he'd have even more with the faster defenders. 'Melo can score and drop 35 on you on any given night. He doesn't need to pass to make an impact.
PF - Duncan may be the greatest PF ever but in the West finals he looked old and sluggish. This is not a team based on careers. Boozer is faster and his post game is developing into one of the best in the league. He can rebound and is a very consistent player.
C - Camby is the best defensive C in the league and he is a rebound and block machine. 10.8 rebounds and 2 blocks for someone his size isn't very impressive.

Kidd and Parker, sexier, try better. The blazers would have been a surefire playoff team with either of them running the point, no question about it.
Manu and Roy have almost identical numbers except Manu is a much better 3 point shooter and also played 7 less minutes per, looks like he can match him to me.
Dirk has no problem playing the 3 and the help defense from the 4 and 5 would keep his guy out of the lane anyways. He would spread the floor with his long range ability. Bowen would be able to come in and give Melo fits. Peja gives me what you don't have, a true 3 point threat.
Duncan is still a premier power forward and averaged 20 and 14.5 in the playoffs. His ability to pass out of the double, will benefit the shooters greatly.
Camby is a cherry picker, that leaves his guy to get the easy block. He got torched by Yao for the tune of 24 and 16 this year. That is the matchup we will be looking at and Yao owns Camby. 10.8 and 2 may not be impressive for his size, but he owns Camby and that wont change.
I have great players surrounded by great shooters and defenders. You have a bench full of guys who do neither very well. We are building a TEAM not names.

5 min. left...
Kidd looked old and sluggish in the playoffs. His age is starting to show.
Keep in mind that was only in Roy's 2nd year. He'll be better than Manu.
I said that Dirk would have problems in the post with faster defenders.
At this point in time Boozer is the more athletic player than Duncan.
Imagine how good Yao would be if he were two inches shorter. Not very.
