I like Brett as a person/player as much as the next guy but I have a few points here:

1. He has carried this retirement crap on for 5 years now.

2. He isnt that great. Good QB of course but in context with the true greats of the game such as Joe and John he is not. He is wreckless with the football. You can throw all the yards and TD's in history but the INT's kill it. Think of how his last 2 playoff runs ended? Thats right, game ending INT's.

3. Why the heck did he give a tearful Retirement speech right after the season? Thinking and acting on emotions alone is stupid and annoying no matter who you are. He could have shut up, went huntin, and made that decision now.

Brett should apologize to the Fans, the League, and the Packers and them walk away. If he continues this rollercoaster he is going to get what he wants. Hes going to end up somewhere like Baltimore, have a dreadful season, and ruin his legacy. Brett is quickly becoming the most annoying individual associated with the NFL.

-- So? Would you rather he be going on and on with Rehab or Prison or online gambling for 5 years and NOT going to the probowl?

I think most Packer fans can put up with that in return for home playoff tickets. - true this year is a streach - but win a Supe and all is forgiven

To follow your second inquiry, hes not going to play in GB and hes not going to win a superbowl. He will throw the INT to end the run instead.

My point is that he is not in the GOAT argument despite the records. Good certainly. Great no. While I give the others some level of annoyance. Shannon definitely wont shut up. Deons suits are louder than Gilbert Godfried. Also, I simply don???t like fat people. However; None are close to Favre in terms of annoyance. He has been the lead story of every sports site/publication for over a week now and this will continue. He flip flops on this retirement issue more than John Kerry on the war.

As a football fan, things I would rather see on the forfront:

Contract settlements from the rest of the league.

Daily team break downs by position for both NCAA and NFL.

Schedule breakdowns and "educated" predictions.

Recruiting news.

Simply put, things that really matter.

The point to this TD was to indicate that Brett is quickly BECOMING the most annoying character in football. If he continues this saga he will have surpassed even TO by Preseason.

The self absorbed Hick cried, About Retirement in March. Now he wants to play? He is hurting the Pack. Forcing their hand. Forcing them to worry about something besides the future which is what they should have done 5 years ago.

Not only that but what does he think he is going to do? He went out on top (as high as hed been in 10 yrs). He knew it. Thats why he gave the stupid speech when he did.

Brett has a CONTRACT with the Pack, he shows up for work. He works.
