FN owes Frank an apology. Everyone can simply put their apology in the comments section.

I was crucified over calling the NBA scripted then I turned out to be right.

Worse than that, I was crucified for stating that Darrent Williams was shot and the crime was uninvestigated b/c the authorities dont need to waste tax $ when its 1 gang member killing another. Now the NFL has hired experts to detect gang signage during on field celebrations. This is b/c Darrent was an active gang member. This is b/c Taylor was an active gang member.

Apologize.

I was with you on this one. (THE NBA one) I am not however with you on the gang sign thing. Please follow my rational on this:

First off is this a major problem? I say no the incidents quoted a very few and far between.

Second who just got picked to be the head of security for the NFL? A former police officer.

Third who are the so called experts on gang symbols and hand signals:
The Law Enforcement community

Fourth when you get elected/picked to certain posistions and the man in charge is a former police chief you owe favors. BIG TIME

What's the easiet way to pay that back: Create jobs at your new place, and bring on board folks you owe, and family members of folks you owe (commonly referred to as the good ole boy system)

There isn't even a major problem here it's a case of a friend trying to pay people back, point blank and period.

Lastly, I still don't say I need to apologize but since no one else will, Sorry Frank.

Sean Taylor: 3 gang members walk into a gang members home (who they know) all the time. Go strait to their room. Shoot them then leave without taking anything all the time. The explanation we got was robbery attempt??? Come on.

Darrent Williams: Hours after the shooting they had the vehicle the shots were fired from. It was owned by a gang member who was already in custody at the time. Any School Crossing cop without Diarreah knew within 3 minutes who the shooter was. Yet there was no arrest? The story completely disappeared? Whos reputation was being protected here??? The Nuggets and Broncos.

Now the NFL has taken a drastic step to control what is said to be a
"Big Problem". Face it Fannation. Frank was right about the NBA. Frank was right about Williams and Taylor. You dont have to like it. You dont have to like me. You do however have to accept fact for fact and give credit where its due.

Your citing two cases :

Out of what close to 2 thousand players. Not bad odds, and in fact I bet that's even lower then our society as a whole. Add that to the fact that I have never seen a guy on the field throw up gang signs (which is what these experts are supposed to be looking for) and all I see is the good ole boy network hiring people to give them cush jobs.

Their not a gang vice squad they are simply there to look for gang signs being thrown up for players, and I don't see that beign a huge problem. Neither do I see gang relations beign a MAJOR issue facing the NFL, in fact I would say out of all the problems they ahve with players it's one of the smallest ones

You dont see gang issues being a problem??? The average D1 NCAAFB probram has had over 75 player arrests in the past 5 years. 75 players (some duplicates) in the last 5 years have been arrested on the average D1 squad???? This is a huge problem. Until the NFL and NCAA place much, and I mean much greater standards for admission on these street thugs it will only get worse.

Heck, I would estimate that 90% of the NFL's active rosters have a gang affilitaion in their past. I have watched the documentaries, its blood in and blood out. Its a dang shame that a thug like Darrent can be making millions and living the American dream and yet throw gang signs from teh field b/c some Crip leader orders it from a prison cell.

I am just asking for an apology. Again, I dont need approval or friends. You as a web community need me. You need me to point out the things a normal mind dosent want to see and accept. Oh its true, Its Damn true.

Frank we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Whose gonna do it? Gruden? The Prodigy? I have more responsibility here than you could possibly fathom. You weep for the Gang problem and you curse the gang members. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Sean Taylor's death, while tragic, probably was not affiliated. And that my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. I know deep down in places you dont talk about at parties, you don't want me on fannation, you need me on fannation. We use words like honor, code, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom I provide, then question the manner in which I provide it. I prefer you said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand to post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to!
