Well, now we can go round and round on this particular topic. Certainly there's NOTHING wrong with people saying Darrell Green is a great Redskins player...but to say THE greatest?? That's a stretch.
I mean, we're leaving out Sonny, Bobby Mitchell, Charley Taylor, Cliff Battles...it depends WHAT generation you are, really.
But I'l wait for some more responses, before I weigh in...

I agreed with much of what you said until here. We are talking about a league that has had world class track stars such as Bob Hayes, Renaldo Nehemiah, and Willie Gault play. I realize Greene was a track star in his own right, but to call him the fastest man in NFL history is a bit of a stretch.

I was going off the fact that he holds the record for fastest 40 time in NFL History CCC

His name is GREEN not Greene. Two e's not three.


He also said PROBABLY not for sure that he was or he just outright was...that he probably was.


And he's probably right.

Green was pretty fast, but track fast and pads fast are two different things. Green was both.

Also, laker's#1, don't forget all the things that Green has done in the community not only WHILE playing football but even AFTER his retirement.
