Biggest individual mismatch from week 1. Person vs Person:

You can pick first

Biggest mismatch?

Oregon St vs Stanford

not the players

not the Coaches

THE MASCOTS

HELLO Stanford is a FRIK KIN TREE and they are facing the Beavers!!!

BIGGEST

MISMATCH

EVER

Norm Chow over John Chavis

This is like putting Rainman against Flava Flav in a math competition

This is like putting Einstein vs George W in a Science Project competition

This is like sending Christopher Reeve hunting with Dick Cheney

This is like Rosey Odonell against Jessica Biel in a Bikini Contest

Basically for 1 half of football TN pressured the QB, played tight coverage. He had 4 picks and gave up virtually no yards. They go into the half. Chow and Chavis make adjustments. TN (who has 5db???s who are going to play on Sunday) comes out dropping linemen into zones and playing the DB???s 15 yards off the WR???s? Chow sets a quick drop setup and tears Chavis apart 10 yards at a time. The QB throws for 240 second half yards with virtually no Incompletions and a TD.

Chow vs Chavis isn???t really even fair.

Norm Chow over John Chavis

Has Norm Chow ever EATEN John Chavis?

Has he ever dragged him and made a HOME out of him?

Has he ever STUCK him in a hole and stopped MOTHER NATURE??

I think not.

Beaver > Tree

atleast Chavis had a good HALF

Vs the Beaver- the Tree is DONE

What do beavers eat?
Beavers love to eat the bark and leaves from the trees that they fell. Their favorite trees are aspens but they will also eat birch, alder, willow, and mountain maple. They usually prefer trees between 2-6 inches in diameter.

Now I am guessing the Tree has atleast a 22" waste, so your theory is no good. The Tree is to big for the Beaver. Unless of course the Beaver belongs to Britney Spears in which case, well you know.

ON a serious note.

Tennessee has the most talented Defensive Backfield I've seen since 1998. Chavis plays them 14 yards off the recievers????? You could issue Chavis the Pro Bowl defense in terms of talent and a offensive mind like Chow will still beat him every time. Chavis vs Chow was the biggest Mismatch of Week1.

Chavis looked like he was doing a pretty good job for a bit didn;t he?

If you stopped watching the game at the half (or couldn;t watch due to the shoe in the screen)

You would think you had a great game.

The Difference came down to half time ajustments

one did
one didn;t

It's not like one team scored on 19 of 19 possesions and dominated

one team simply came back and took the game

No Tree ever comes back on a Beaver.

Almost impossible to argue against this one.

September 3, 2008  09:58 AM ET

Wow! Now that will be tough to beat.

September 3, 2008  10:04 AM ET

Nice, David.

September 3, 2008  10:14 AM ET

That is the toughest mismatch ever. Good one Dave.

September 3, 2008  10:55 AM ET

Is a tree with eyes fleshy on the inside?

September 3, 2008  11:23 AM ET

Killed him with the first arguement very creative dave! Don't think i will vote on this one no need.

September 3, 2008  12:29 PM ET

Frank I think you are making a great arguement, but you left the topic WIDE open and I'm afraid that Beaver vs tree is a much bigger mismatch than any two O coordinators going head to head.

September 3, 2008  12:31 PM ET

Correction any two O & D coordinaters.

September 3, 2008  02:24 PM ET

"No Tree ever comes back on a Beaver."

Really? Ever?

The tree falls on the Beaver crushing every bone in it's body, the dead beaver decomposes producing fertile ground for another tree to grow.

Vote Frank.

September 3, 2008  02:53 PM ET

you serious....
<------- gets my vote cause beavers don't like big trees

and what would you say the W/L of the Beaver vs the W/L of the Tree is?

My Money is STILL on the Tree

September 3, 2008  03:16 PM ET

How many beavers let trees fall on them honestly? Can someone look up that stat? LOL. It might happens but not likely. Bye I'm going to build a camp fire using metal wood.

Two heavy hitters here. "Now I am guessing the Tree has atleast a 22" waste, so your theory is no good. The Tree is to big for the Beaver. Unless of course the Beaver belongs to Britney Spears in which case, well you know. " This is a classic line.

Have to go left on this one <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< <<<<<<<<,
