Florida Marlins - It has long been said that that Florida fans don't deserve there team but this is getting ridiculous. There recent game against the Braves produced all of 600 fans. 600! I have more people in the building I work in.

They are dead last in average attendance and have been for the last 3 -4 years. Bottom 5 for the last 8-9. Montreal seems like a better home to baseball then Florida.

Whats even worse is they won the 2003 World Series for a bunch of bandwagon flip flop ingrates who could care less. If Houston won in 2005 I would still be drunk and celebrating.

They are dead last in average attendance.

This team needs to go to a city that is hungry for baseball. I live in Austin and have to drive to Houston to catch an Astros game and these bags have one and don't take advantage. Its a shame. I do give props to those Marlin fans that are true and loyal,l the rest are a disgrace.

ok

this is the easy one

NFL

Per Wiki

The STADUIM SEATS

76,867 - normally

67,164 - FOR THE NFL

84,000 - FOR THE NCAA GAME and the BOWL Games

Thats Right the NFL (again per Wiki)

Before the 2005 season, mainly due to low attendance figures and looming blackouts, team officials installed a series of tarps to reduce the seating capacity for NFL games. The covers were placed to block out seven sections in the upper north endzone and four in each upper deck section, located on the corners of each. This puts 9,713 seats out of service. Per NFL policy, the tarps have to stay on even during playoff games. Despite the changes, however, blackouts have still occurred, including two of their first three home games in 2007

you might be thinking- WHOA this team must STINK -I mean I would not pay to go see the Falcons or Dolphins for this - Or even the Rams must stink right?? Got Spoiled by the Greatest Show on turf right??

Nope - this is THE JAGUARS

You might think that they had a sellout for the DEFENDING SUPER BOWL CHAMPS right?

Right?

WRONG- they had to have a local Business buy up tickets so it would not blackout that date as well.

Now I know I'm going to catch some sheat from some fans but that's to be expected but my second pick has to be Philadelphia Eagle's.

This is based off the fans. Never has a group of people been more justly stereotyped than an Eagle fan. This is a group of people who boo Santa Clause.Santa! They throw snowballs ,batteries, cheer when someone is injured. They lack any characteristic close to sportsmanship.

This is what you call lack of loyalty. They effin Boo McNabb. He is the only reason they have had success in recent years.

This is a city of fans who obviously don't know what they got.

There are fans that would support there team win or loose. Majority of Phili fans are not deserving.

Put down the Natural light and shaved horse meat with cheese and clap or cheer for a change.

DISCLAIMER: I know not all Eagle fans are like this but the majority are. Google worst fans. You are always top 2 or 3. <Coincidence? No.

SPIT TAKE

The EAGLES??

REALLY??

Let me hit you with some numbers on that one

In fact let me hit you with TWO

71

That is how many Consecutive sellouts they have had- and that is NO JOKE about how much they hate everything- but they show up and they KNOW THE GAME- You leave midway through the 4th and you SHOULD be booed

Next number Season-ticket waiting list: 70,000

that is THIRD in the NFL - Yes other teams might have a longer sellout streak but THIRD in the NFL shows how LOYAL the Fans are.

Pick 2.

The Hawks

This place is a TOMB -the only crowd I have EVER SEEN get excited in the city of Atlanta is when Ric Flair walks in the Omni back in the Day- They RAREY we loud for Nique and there were LONG periods of PLAYOFF games this year where you could hear shoes squeaking in the upper deck- you could hear the coach talk from the 10th Row!!

I have been to PEE-WEE games that had more noise.

philly, WOW

Yes the EAGLES = This was an opinion based on my interactions and analysis of there fan base. Dont bite the hand that feeds you. Rather dont boo players who are risking there long term health to give you entertainment. Show some pride and intergirty. Again not saying all are like that

Pitt Panther is Untouchable | 09/03/08, 07:44 PM

But if it stumbles like a drunk and slurs like a drunk. Chances are they are an Eagles fan. Shot out to Pitt on this one. Thanks.

My final pick is a team who has been one of the most consistently in the middle teams. They have had some great years and great players but have fans that flip flop more than John McCain debating immigration while cooking pancakes.

The INDIANA PACERS

The Pacers where dead last in attendance last year from 15th best in 4 years. Talk about fair weather. Spoiled by the previous success Pacer fans don't know how to deal with loss.

Now that the Colts are winning, you can't get a ticket. Let them miss the playoffs I sure they are likely to face the same demise.

This is supposed to be in the heart of Basketball country. There are cities in Uzbekistan that would offer up better attendance

Final Team

The Royals- not that they don't deserve the team- but they are not helping the team get better by their attendance

Average Attn last 3 years
17,356
17,158
19,961

Total
1,371,181
1,372,684
1,616,867

MLB Average

2,360,452
2,458,741
2,527,968

So they are WAY off there- and you think that they have such a Low attendance for a small Market?

The Feild holds 38K! and the Cheifs have a HUGE Fanbase - 141 Straight Sellouts so its not the Market.

The Cheifs are able to compete- why can;t the Royals? Are there THAT many things to do in Kansas??

September 3, 2008  06:43 PM ET

I think Florida should just send its best players to all the NY teams and let things go from there. In turn, we will send all of our old people. I think it would work.

September 3, 2008  06:51 PM ET

Are we talking about baseball or sports in general? Either way, I agree with the Marlins pick.

September 3, 2008  07:15 PM ET

Any sport

September 3, 2008  07:23 PM ET

"my second pick has to be Philadelphia Eagle's."

If you were a man I'd punch you. We don't deserve a team because we're passionate? At least we care.

"Google worst fans. You are always top 2 or 3."

#4!

September 3, 2008  07:33 PM ET

As the superior group of fans in Pennsylvania(Steelers fans), I can honestly say that I despise Eagles fans beyond any other city's fans. Well, other than any fan in Ohio. That said, the Eagles are one of the most passionate groups of fans in the NFL, just behind the Steelers, Cowboys, and (sadly) the Raiders. Hell, I have no problem putting them there fourth above the Packers.

Philly fans are complete trash, and they never approve of everyone. But hey, they haven't won anything in a long time, and there is no problem with them being restless. I mean, those people make me sick, but they deserve that team. Most of the things they do to players and people aren't deserved, but that doesn't change the fact that they love their team.

In fact, I went to Eagles training camp in McNabb's first season. When players were signing autographs, all I can remember is people yelling "**** you Staley", when I was calling him Mr. Staley. But hey, that's Philadelphia.

September 3, 2008  07:33 PM ET

Thats why I have a DISCLAIMER there sir.

Dont take it personal. Strictly business

September 3, 2008  07:43 PM ET

Like I said, I hate Philly fans, and I will vote on arguments when this is over.

September 3, 2008  07:44 PM ET

Bigdleech, I think you're overrating the passion of Raider fans. Just because they like to play dress-up doesn't mean they're passionate.

September 3, 2008  07:51 PM ET

Raiders fans have always been in the more passionate group in the NFL.

September 3, 2008  07:56 PM ET

I went to like ten Philly games this year, including two playoff games. Those were the only two that I went to where there was a filled arena. I saw them play the Spurs and Hornets among others, and they weren't even remotely packed then.

September 3, 2008  07:57 PM ET

Consecutive sellouts of the teams you mentioned:

Steelers: 299
Packers: 269
Cowboys: 145
Eagles: 71
Raiders: 4

September 3, 2008  08:23 PM ET

Since the Raiders moved back to L.A. in 1995, they've had 62 out their 104 home games blacked out in their local market. The Arizona Cardinals are the only team to have more blackouts during that same period of time.

Booing Santa Claus... Sick of it...

Real Story: Eagles were terrible that year. Last game of the season- win and they get the 1st overall pick and grab a man named OJ Simpson. They were winning the game big... which led them to get the 2nd or 3rd pick.. dont remember... ..anyway... crowd wanted Simpson....ending a terrible season.....

The Santa Claus that day couldn't make it... They gave the job to someone else who happened to be drunk. He wasn't your friendliest Santa Claus....Frustration+drunken Santa.....

September 3, 2008  08:49 PM ET

PhillyFan83, Pitt Panther is Untouchable, I can count on your votes right?

September 3, 2008  09:50 PM ET

I'm going to have to say that Philly fans are among the most passionate. They want to win like any other sports fan, and if you think other fans aren't extremely pissed when they lose, then you are mistaken. We just show it more often. I could see you maybe picking the Sixers, but not the Eagles. That is the most loved team in Philadelphia. If someone happens to come to Philly during football season, no matter what day of the week it is, you will know what happened in last weeks game and probably the previous 3 games right away. It's what Philly lives for, and cheese steaks. Overall, arguments are better on the right anyways, so vote right.

September 4, 2008  01:35 AM ET

Carolina Hurricanes.

Nashville Predators.

Tampa Bay Lightning.

September 4, 2008  01:55 AM ET

Yoda, didn't 2 of them recently win the Stanley Cup? Why get rid of them & keep the Thrashers?

September 4, 2008  01:57 AM ET

I agree, YODA. Move these hockey franchises to Medicine Hat, Moose Jaw, and Sault Ste. Marie. ^^^^

September 4, 2008  01:58 AM ET

Yeah, the won Staley Cups and no one cared. Anahiem didn't even have a parade in town when they won it.

September 4, 2008  02:12 AM ET

They cared in Raleigh & Tampa...
