Cassidy's House: Priceless said 09/03, 06:15 PM
I say Brett Farve.
He is the winningest QB in NFL history(160 regular season victories). Aaron Rodgers? Anybody out there got a crystal ball?
Nobody has EVER thrown for more TDs than Farve, EVER: 442!
Rodgers was drafted in 2005. His rookie hunger has died a slow death as he watched Farve mostly run a clinic last season.
Rodgers is stepping into the 2nd best passing offense in the entire NFL. Does anybody think that is because of the WRs exclusively and/or the O-line, OR....
mostly because Brett Farve was under center for all of '07?
Aaron Rodgers has been booed by Packer fans at scrimmage games.
Brett Farve states regarding any differences between the Packers and Jets playbooks: "Its different, but its easily correctable."
With Aaron Rodgers at QB, the Packers are no longer even the favorites to win their own division: that would be the Vikings.
Greg Jennings and Donald Driver were great WRs for Farve. If Aaron Rodgers isnt a great QB, what does it matter how great his WRs are?
Tell me 1 time that you KNOW Aaron Rodgers, based on ZERO regular season experience beyond one injury appearance, will out-win a Hall of Famer with a new OL in New York.

I know that Aaron Rodgers, based on based on ZERO regular season experience beyond one injury appearance, will out-win a Hall of Famer with a new OL in New York.
There ya go.....
Lets see why Rodgers will win more games......
1) The Packers are a better TEAM in a weaker division than the Jets
Without Brett, the Packers are at WORST the second best team in the NFC North.
With Brett, the Jets are at BEST the second best team in the AFC East, but since he hasnt played a real game there yet, we will give them the 3 spot behind Buffalo.
2) Who cares about the Packer Fans?
They are out for him. They are booing Rodgers before he takes his first snap, so EVERY incomplete pass is gonna be more dramatic than if they actually liked him.
3) "Nobody has EVER thrown for more TDs than Farve, EVER: 442!"
Correct, but Nobody has ever thrown more INTS than Brett, EVER: 288!
Brett averges 18 INTS per season.......Do you think the Jets D is good enough to overcome a 18 Turnover head start?
Cassidy's House: Priceless said 09/03, 06:52 PM
How do u know? Because u are Goodell, winner of 546 throwdowns? I am willing to bet, that few if any, were seasonal predictions of what would happen 16 weeks later in the NFL, but I, as always, I digress...
GB being a better team is beginning & ending @ QB. You are looking @ last year's Packers as a frame of reference. Hello, but that team was led by Brett Farve, not Aaron Rodgers. If a team has a shaky QB, all other things considered, they will not reach their potential. Ask the Baltimore Ravens team since 2000, as they won a Super Bowl behind a steady veteran at QB in Trent Dilfer? Since then? A bunch of unproven(think Aaron Rodgers) QBs, who despite a damn good defense & always good running game, either with Jamal Lewis or Willis McGahee, still cant win more than 5 games. Brett Farve will win more games than an unproven QB in Aaron Rodgers.
Forget division strength as that is relavite to how the QB performs. Tavaris Jackson and Jon Kitna in the NFC North are two QBs out of the box that are better than A-Rodgers in his own division.
Farve doesnt need to beat the Patriots twice to get more wins than Rodgers. He has Miami and Buffalo to look 4ward to in division.

Wow.....Did you not read my argument?
I listed 3 reasons why Rodgers will win more games than Brett
"If a team has a shaky QB, all other things considered, they will not reach their potential. "
Shaky?? You mean like averaging 18 INTs per season as a starter for almost 20 years? That kind of Shaky?
The Jets are not good enough to mask any of Bretts weakness', like his poor decision making at times. Those 18 INTS will come back and bite the Jets in the **** late in the season and cost them a few games. The Jets WR's and Defense are not gonna be able to come back from a 20 point deficit on the road.
Brett is the all time leader in INTS with 288 or 18 per season
Brett is 3rd all time in FUMBLES with 147 or 9 fumbles per season
On average, we are looking at almost 30 Turnovers per season by Brett alone......

That is how u chose to open your 1st argument. Nothing you said in ur argument addressed how u can KNOW how Rodgers will perform this year. Since nobody knows that, & you didnt address it, that is why I chose to open my 2nd argument as I did.
So the Pack are a better team? Considering they were projected before last yr started to get around 5 less wins than they ended up with, what do u think the difference was? Try Brett Farve having his career year in his 16th season! We all knew Brett was great, but this wasnt the Brett we had seen in seasons prior, where he threw about as many picks as TDs. Brett is showing he is getting better with age/experience, & no matter who his receivers were, Brett will always be a TD machine.
Look at the Jets O-line protecting Brett in NY: Damien Woody(new), Alan Faneca(new), Brandon Moore, Nick Mangold, D'Brickashaw Ferguson.
Brett will be far better protected in NY than he was in GB.
Coles, Cotchery, and Baker are all solid targets for Brett to throw to.
NYJ>GB in 2008 wins
Goodell: Nov 4 is the day said 09/04, 04:21 PM
Semantics Cass......Cmon now.
You said...."Tell me 1 time that you KNOW Aaron Rodgers"
So I simply told you that I know. You got exactly what you asked for. But seriously, lets not let this minor line in a total of 6 arguments be the focus of th eTD.
You still havent answerd any of the issues I brought up. How are the Jets gonna overcome almost 30 TO's per year from thier QB? Last season Brett had 15 INTS and 9 Fumbles. Even at only 24 TO's, how are the Jets gonna overcome a 24 TO margin? Especially since the Pack are better than the Jets all around
OL - Advantage Pack
WR's - Advantage Pack
RB's - Advantage Pack
DL - Advantage Pack
LB's - Adavantage Pack
DB's - Adavantage Pack
With all of Bretts INT's and Fumbles, the Pack was only +4 in TO department
The Jets had only 21 Takeaways last season, which would have put them at -3.
Now give Brett his average of almost 30 TO's per seaons and the Jets D is -9 in the TO battle.
Do even know what your talking about Cass?

Did you ever think of starting over, I mean ALL OVER, and changing your tone and writing style? If you love debate so much, that would probably be a good move. I predict 348 comments, a 24-13 lead after 2, and a forfeit by 10pm tonight.
I'm just sayin.
