Pick 5 PRO Wrestlers (no Fedor, no Chuck Norris, No James Worthy)

as your WAR GAMES Team

If you do not understand what War GAMES is- pass on this TD

NO DUPLICATES (I had to go first so i have Dibs)
Had to have been in WCW/NWA post 1990 (so Flair, Dusty is ok- but no Bruno or Killer Kowalski)

Going Big huh?

Here is the Problem you have.

You only have 2 "players" with any submission skills- so unless you break out the bearhug- you don;t really have much there.

3 of my 5 have won WORLD TITLES via submission- and Shawn is not exactly bad with the sharp shooter. HHH is the only wrestler I have that does not have a great Sub act.

Where my 5 excel over yours is ENDURANCE

all 5 of mine can take an A^^ kicking for 30 minutes- other than Sting have ANY of yours gone an hour

(depends on the Scott you take- you take Young Scott- you lose your second sub guy- take Big Poppa Pump and you lose ANY endurance)

5 men= 25 minutes before the MATCH BEYOND Starts- and in your order- SId will have been in there 15 min

and he will be next to Immoble- and both Flair and Benwaaa have made Sid thier B* with the titles on the Line.


No submission skills you say. That is true only Sting with the Scorpion Deathlock is the for sure submission as you state. What my team does have though is straight power. All of your guys can take a beating as you have said, and who can forget how many 60 minute matches Ric Flair has been in,as well as, Shawn in his Iron Man match with the Hitman.

Now for the bad news for you. As stated in your opening argument you wanted NWA/WCW wrestlers now tell me when Kurt Angle and Shawn Micheals ever wrestled in the NWA/WCW......Ok I'll answer for you they never have. Angle has always been WWE or TNA. Michaels has always been WWE or AWA. So that would take two of your five out of the match according to your rules, and I don't think your remaining 3 would do anything but suffer a beatdown against my five in a WAR GAMES or any other kind of match.


Full Disclosure- I had mean to add the WWE on that as well.

Two Tidbits

Kurt Angle -July 24, 2001 - Won on the July 26 edition of SmackDown! Became the first person to win the WCW Championship in World Wrestling Federation programing.

So he counts

and Shawn Micheals-- well he did carry that World Championship belt that looks an AWFUL lot like the Big Gold Belt that Flair held for about 20 years

and if you REALLY want to get techincal

Shawn was in Mid-South Wrestling
that changed the Name to the Universal Wrestling Federation- that was absorbed into the National Wrestling Alliance.

So BOTH of my choices have NWA/WCW Roots.

Next?

You Bring the Power game- I bring Submission skills and the ability to never say die.

Match goes fairly simple-

I iso Sting with Shawn- and set HHH vs the Giant

Shawn can;t submit if he is the MAIN EVENT MODE and The Giant has always been Trip B****

SO then you have the Steiners/Sid vs 3 of the best wrestlers that ever lived

Kurt wins by breaking Sids ankle (had to go there) in 42 Minutes


Actually Shawn was in Mid-Southern out of Memphis which got renamed Global Wrestling Federation, which was absorbed by the old AWA. Not to be confused with Mid-South which indeed did become UWF which became part of WCW.

So therefor no Shawn was never part of NWA/WCW. Kurt winning the WCW belt once the WWE had bought the WCW doesn't mean he has WCW roots by any stretch of the immagination. Ric Flair tried bringing that big gold belt with him during his first stint in WWF back in the early 90's, but no one called him the world champ until he won the WWF belt.

So it would still be 5 on 3 in my favor which would end up being a beatdown of epic proportions for HHH, Angle, and Flair. Besides that with those three on the same team with their big ego's there is no telling when they would begin fighting each other because Ric would be pulling the fast one on HHH and Angle and join up with the other team proving once and for all he is indeed the dirtiest player in the game.

Warrior was there for a short bit wasn't he Miguel? I forgot all about that.

I can't fault him to much for wanting to put HHH on his team as he did wrestle in WCW for a minute as Terra Ryzine and also as Jean-Paul Levesque or how ever spell his actual last name. No excuse though for Angle and Michaels they were never in WCW/NWA.
