you go CCC, since you hate on wrestling sooooo much.

Brock Lesnar.

Brock Lesnar is a good pick.

I'll have to go with Kurt Angle. He won OLYMPIC GOLD in WRESTLING.

Oylmpic gold is HUGE deal.

Angle is also a TWO-Time NCCA CHaMP in wrestling.

Brock Lesnar:

First he went 33-0 in HS his senior year, 2nd place finish in 99 for the NCAA championship, won the championship in 2000. He finished as a 2 time NJCAA All-American, 2 time NCAA All-American, 2 time Big Ten Champion, and the 2000 NCAA heavyweight champion with a record of 106-5 overall in four years of college.

Then of course he wrastled. He then quit wraslin and actually played in the NFL. Then of course he started his third career as a Mixed Martial Artists. He is 2-1 and has shown that he will be a force in the sport.

Please call me when Kurt Angle stops talking about the Octagon and actually gets in it. Brock would smash Kurt to pieces in the Octagon.

Made the nfl huh?

Brock Lesnar hasn't won a GOLD MEDAL.

COME ON!

National Collegiate Athletic Association
NCAA Division I All-American (1990)
NCAA Division I Champion (1990)
NCAA Division I All-American (1991)
NCAA Division I runner-up (1991)
NCAA Division I All-American (1992)
NCAA Division I Champion (1992

Lesnar winning the UFC heavyweight title might put him over in some eyes but good luck with that. Randy Couture can wrestle as well.

I hate to be a LAMO but the GOLD MEDAL reigns supreme.

LESNAR WAS CUT FROM THE VIKINGS. Lesnar is ambitious though.

Lesnar was not cut due to his abilities, he was cut because he got injured. Kurt Angle hasn't shown he is more then a one trick poney, you said best athlete. I am saying that Brock has proven he can play three different sports, Kurt has not. Kurt won't even get into the cage, even though he talks about it all the time.

Brock is a better athlete then Kurt. You only have one sport to show your evidence , I have three, if you had said best wrestler that's a different story, however you said best athlete. Brock wins in that case

JunkYard Dog. Sylvester Ritter was a 2-time honorable mention All-American on the gridiron at North Carolina's Fayetteville State University.

Sheldon Benjamin is probably the best true athlete.

September 4, 2008  02:46 AM ET

Lawrence Taylor Hall of Fame Outside Linebacker New York Giants, anyone remember that guy.

Bucky you are also one hundred and ten percent correct. I am still in shock that he lost to Rulon Gardner in 2000.

Kurt Angle...UFC Heavyweight Champ 2010?

September 4, 2008  03:42 AM ET

Yeah I don't think so Yoda. Brock would murder Kurt whether it was ametuer wrestling, freestyle, greco, professional, or mma.

September 4, 2008  09:05 AM ET

Bobby Lashley He was in the Army and won 2 chamiponships in the army. However they are just picking the strongest guy these arent true athletes. Brock just didnt know what he want so he bounced from WWE, NFL, to MMA

I knew he had to lose sometime wildbill but it was still shocking. I mean the guy didn't have a point scored on him in 10 years.

I have had just about one goal in mind these last few months on the nation, and that goal was to educate users on who is straight up in their Tds and who is shady. Well the education plan has failed to say the least, now the whole thing has basically turned into one posse for one posse against.

This has bled over to other TDs please see the Pimps blog on the subject. I have decided that this site has become well, a shadow of what it once was, great Tders like rstowe, and many others have already pulled back from the TDs. That got me to thinking, what the heck am I spending so much time on here for? To spread the word about the greatness of MMA?

Basically the way I see it is this, this site will never be about the better arguments, it just won't. As much as folks on here like to claim they always vote for the arguments, or the better side in the debate; this simply isn't true. I can guarantee that at one time or another everyone of us has voted in a td based off something other then the arguments. I won't go into the details of who does what or says what to get votes, and I really don't want to make this tirade strictly about votes anyways. I want to talk about the nation as a whole.

Groups are formed on here and abandoned. TD's have become less about arguments and more about who can google or wiki and paste faster. I honestly am having a hard time these days actually being INFORMED in a td. It used to be back in the day you would get lots of good info in TDs but not so much anymore. Now it's just well, for the most part bad.

I am not mad, I am not sad, I am simply resigned that this site will never be right, and that is OK. It's OK for it to be like that, I however am choosing to forgo the game. I am choosing to sit out. I am choosing to leave the nation. I have realized that I am a super competitive guy (well I knew that part already) and that the pure joy of competing in the three boxes is gone. I mean what does all this time spent really do for me? My answer nothing. It doesn't make me a better person, doesn't make me a BIGGER fan, doesn't make me anything.

Basically it just helps me waste time while at work. That's it. That's all this site is good for, wasting time. Well I got a life to live and I ain't wasting no more of it on here. Don't bother leaving messages, or comments. I am asking the mods to delete me as you read this. Some will say good he's finally gone, some will say who gives a crap, but I will say Peace Out. Cause that's all I got left to say. If I am in a TD with you I will be forfeitting it.

Peace Out Nation

It's been real, it's been fun sometimes its been real fun.
