First state then argue

1. Tyson vs Trevor Berbick
2. Tyson vs Buster Douglas
3. Tyson vs Evander Holyfield 1 (pre ear biting)
4. Tyson vs Lennox
5. Tyson vs "Razor" Ruddock

Tyson vs Michael Spinks
Tyson vs James "bone crusher" Smith
Tyson vs Tony Tucker
Tyson vs "Razor" Ruddock (SECOND FIGHT)
Tyson vs Holyfeild

Tyson vs Berbick - Tyson became the YOUNGEST CHAMP EVER

Tyson vs Buster Douglas- Douglas a 42-1 underdog beat Tyson in a GREAT matchup

Tyson vs Evander- went 10 rounds and was VERY ANTICIPATED

Tyson vs Lennox-2nd most grossing ppv in history

Tyson vs Razor Ruddock- SLUGFEST

Tyson RAPED michael spinks NC

HOW CAN YOU LEAVE TYSON VS BUSTER OFF? It's a espn classic. Tyson rocked Buster with Buster coming back to beat him in JAPAN!

Mike is embarrased by your picks....he's leaving

Any reason why you had to do that??

You force me to BOLD from here

I don;t pick the sideshows- I am looking for the INTERESTING or HISTORICAL fights

Spinks was a TITLE FIGHT- and SPINKS just beat LARRY HOLMES

Spinks was 31-0
Tyson was 35-0

How do you get better than that? This made the UNDISPUTED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD

Next

Tyson vs James "bone crusher" Smith

12 rounds- and Smith was the FIRST man to stun Tyson- and this was the Tyson we were SCARED of not the Looney chump of later years

The Tony Tucker fight was AWESOME

Tucker LIFTED MIKE off the GROUND with an uppercut- and BROKE HIS HAND and then went 8 more rounds with it BROKEN

gotta love that!

Now the Douglas fight I will argue next

But the Tyson vs Lennox-2nd most grossing ppv in history

So? people spent 96 MILLION on the Peter McNeely fight- is that on your list?

I don;t CARE how much it sold- I'm talking about how GREAT it was- and Tyson/Lewis was NOT THAT GREAT A FIGHT- fighter on the LONG way down vs a Champ that is little respected.

So?

Watch the Tucker fight. . . .TRUST ME - round 4

Tyson's last TITLE FIGHT. Also, Tyson took 8 rounds of beating from the best who was known to clear good boxers early like Hasim the Rock Rahman in 4 rds.

We agreed on Razor Ruddock and Holyfield huh?!

Also, Tyson being the YOUNGEST CHAMP at the AGE OF 20 years old is pretty crazy. Especially when you put this into factor...

BERBICK was the LAST PERSON TO FIGHT THE GREAT MUHAMMED ALI and BEAT HIM!

Tyson vs Berbick started a NEW ERA of boxing.

WHY OR HOW CAN YOU HATE ON BUSTER AND TYSON?
I'm not trying to be a corn ball but it's on espn classic ALL THE time for a REASON.

Tyson v Buster was possibly fight of the decade

Let me ask you a question

Have you SEEN this fight?

I mean really- Take away the Reps and take away the Names and the Best- Pretend this is a fight between two guys in a Gym

are you bored by round 3?

Yes I have the Spinks fight up there- and yes its not the greatest fight in the world- but it IS 91 seconds of one man taking another mans will to fight

Spinks RETIRED at 31-1 because of that fight

in a MINUTE AND A HALF you see one man take a MULTIPLE CHAMPION and a GOLD MEDAL WINNER and take his fighting spirit so bad he never even TRAINED again.

NEVER

Thats a Beating

Tyson vs Buster is just a fight between a man at his best and a man at his worst.

I take it these are not just his best moments.

September 4, 2008  06:05 PM ET

I took the best FIGHTS not the sideshows

September 4, 2008  06:52 PM ET

Im gonna wait to vote, but you need Buster on your list

Peachy's post fight recap of the Tyson-Spinks match was very enlightening.

September 4, 2008  07:24 PM ET

How can you put the fights he got beat up in as his top 5 fights more like his worst 5 fights.

September 4, 2008  07:52 PM ET

I may have to vote left here. The picture of Tyson was too much.

The Leafs will make the play-offs!

Pimp wins by TKO. The title was his opinion and Peachy got it wrong.

"Tyson RAPED michael spinks"

No, I'm pretty sure it was a beauty pageant girl he raped. Sure put a beat down on Spinks, though.

I don't know about the best fight I ever had, but I know the best punch I ever threw. Man, I'll never forget that punch -- it was when I fought Robin in Steve's apartment. She really offended me and I went BAM, and she flew backward, hitting every wall in the apartment.

September 4, 2008  09:30 PM ET

The fight between Lewis and Tyson wasn't a great fight. It was all one sided. I actually felt sorry for Tyson after about the 6th round.

Peachy ND is right, the amount a fight sells has nothing do with how great it was. Just look at the Oscar vs Mayweather fight. It was a real stinker but it was the top grossing of all time. You pay attention to much to names when it comes to this sport and not substance.

I will give you two fights that will pass by and no one will watch this weekend but will have exciting talent fighting. Tomorrow on ESPN2 James Kirkland is a mini-Tyson, well he is only an inch shorter but fights at 154lbs. If you like kayos watch tomorrow night, he will deliver in exciting fashion. On HBO on Saturday two all action fighters are going at it. If you haven't seen Michael Katisdis fight yet, make appoint to watch this one. He is a heavy handed lightweight who never stops throwing. His opponent Juan Diaz is a very talented fighter who also likes to throw punches. These guys aren't the big names of the sport nor will these fights be on PPV but they are what makes the sport great.

NOTICE I SAID "TOP" fights. These puppies were ELITE with the exception of Berbick and Buster.

Mike tyson's top 5 fights? your opinion - Peachy

My opinion is that Peachy is a moron. However, that has nothing to do with Mike Tyson's top 5 fights.
