Look at the years previous to Neslon...winning pct....

97 = 29%
96 = 31%
95 - 43%
94 = 15%
93 = 13%
92 = 26%

This organization just flat out sucked...when he came in? Things started to improve...

38% win pct in his 1st year, 48% in his 2nd...and after that everything was above 60% win pct.

Taking them to 5 straight playoff appearances, the only coach in Mavs history to do so.

He built a great team piece by piece and when Avery came around everything was set.

More credit to Nelson.
