Super Bowl XLIII Tournament, Conference round: Who is the best WR in the AFC other than Reggie Wayne and Randy Moss??
YanksFan said 09/05, 08:53 PM
Pick 1rst, argue 2nd and 3rd.
Chad Ocho Cinco
That is my pick, good luck MF
Mets Fan: Al Harrington- Knick said 09/05, 09:03 PM
My pick.........
Braylon Edwards
Good Luck to you as well YF
YanksFan said 09/06, 09:57 AM
Good pick with Edwards, but I chose Chad because he is a better WR and is one of the top 5 in the AFC.
Now, we will look at stats:
Receptions:
Ochco Cinco: 93
Edwards: 80
Adv: Ochco Cinco
Yards
O.C:1440
Ed.: 1289
Adv:Ochco Cinco
YD/G
O.C.: 90
Ed.: 80.6
Adv: Ochco Cinco
TD:
O.C.:8
ED.:16
Adv: Edwards
The only thing Edwards did better was TD, Ochco Cinco had more receptions, yards, and YD/G.
So, I would also rather have Chad becuase he has better numbers. He is a good player. While Edwards is a pretty good player, but not as good as Ochco Cinco. Braylon also fumbled 3 times last year and lost 2 of the 3. Johnson fumbled 2 times and only lost 1 of 2. That is better, less fumbles gives him more yards which he had.
Mets Fan: Al Harrington- Knick said 09/06, 06:15 PM
Actually, Braylon Edwards is the better WR.
He has a better AVG yards per catch while having less receptions.
Last year, Braylon Edwards had 16 tds to Ocho Cinco's 8 td's.
And Braylon Edwards had more tds having less receiving yards than Ocho Cinco.
This shows you what a good WR Edwards is. He had 200 less yards than O.C. and had twice as many td's as Chad O.C.
Plus, Braylon Edwards is better at keeping himself together.
He doesn't call out certain teams or people, and doesn't change his last name to a Spanish number.
He is more composed, and is better on and off the field.
Also, Braylon Edwards is younger than OCho Cinco and has time to mature.
Edwards has been playing for only 3 years, and has already gotten over 1000 yards in a season.
Currently, Braylon has the better stats. And they can only get better.
Good Luck YF

Andre Johnson would also be a good candidate. Give him a full season, injury free, and he can compile very impressive numbers. Edwards is definitely a good pic. I am not too sure about Ocho Cinco but I will wait for arguments.

^He would. Also, TJ Houshmenzadah would be a good one too, though if this were career, I would have to say it's Harrison

Wes Welker's overrated. He gets single coverage against teams' #3 corners in a pass heavy offense with Tom Brady throwing him the ball. He should have put up big numbers.

Good point there Pitt but Wes is still very reliable, he fits in well with NE's system other than that it's hard to tell just how great he is.

Well, number of receptions tells you how much the QB goes to that receiver when he is opened. Combine receptions and Overall yards, and Braylon Edwards takes the cake. 16.1 Yards per catch is more than 15.5 yards per catch. So I would give the stat advantage over to Edwards at the moment.

Well, he is one of the best slot receivers in football and lead the league in Yards After Catch. I don't think he is overrated. Just an important part of the Patriots passing game that needs to be talked about.

Edwards is a better pick. talent wise they are close but edwards had a great year last year in anderson's first of many good years, he isnt a loud mouth. We'll see who makes the stronger arguements.
